oh bloody hell
mike...listen to Jayd here, he is the mod and you sadly are not. Yes these are the rules and you will follow them or threads will have to be closed or edited or deleted. At least Evan had the decency to calmly ask the question. Yes, the other mods for this section fully support the new rule and it will be enforced. If anyone wants to complain in PM to me about this, feel free but these are the rules and the promotion in this section has gone over the top. |

well it does'nt matter that much for a few reasons
1)Swamper does not have the other sub forum finished
2)The mods of this forum + Swamper agreed upon the rules
so technically our royal flush trumps your pair of aces :p |

| the rules are the rules, don't like them? go elsewhere....maybe like t.nu or something. The whole point of that rule is to put the tracklist back to its original form because too many bedroom deejays and lame promotion machines were cluttering the hell out of this forum with their promotion and this forum is just for tracklists really. |

| i can understand people having a problem with threads in the tracklist forum which arent tracklists, but as long as they are tracklists, who cares what else is in there? who cares if there are website links and stuff within that tracklist thread? bah im just raising a point, i cant be ed to argue about it, as least you now know how the majority of people on this forum feel. |

so that's the main reason ..... hmmmm .....
without the info in those threads, i would never have taken notice about some other excellent dj's.
but i see your point.
it would be easier to have an extra "show-thread-section" for regular radio-shows, where all the info about times and streams and the dj's is put into. |

Majority.
The people who have stake in the outcome are majority....
Right.

I completely agree, but several of my DJs have had their tracklist threads closed with barely any explanation just "read the new rules"
and they only posted the tracklist about 4 hours or so before the show... if you've got these new rules in place, may I suggest you come up with a definite number that you can publically post in the new rules/policies that says exactly how long before a show a tracklist is allowed to be posted? that will help cut down on the favoritism and personal vendettas against particular artists or stations ;)
thanks !

E-vangelist,
We just want people to use their discretion, that's all. As much as people would like you to think how stupid they are, they really aren't. They know why things are being done the way they are, they just choose not to follow it.
Just use your discretion man.. I'm sure you guys know what advertisment is and what tracklistings are.
In response to what I just said "They know why things are being done the way they are, they just choose not to follow it.", this means that people know they can't / couldn't post threads in the MD, so they started to use this section as an alternative.
Before you couldn't post in the MD, this was used as just the tracklistings and the stream links. That's how we want it to be, the whole point is to not have this section turn into an MD.

You should post a poll and allow everyone to vote on this issue, it's obvious that most users don't like this new rule...
Voting would be the democratic thing to do. |

Nope.
I've only closed one thread. You say many, I say one.
Fine me some others that I've closed. I've also told you I don't have any "personal vendetta" against yourself or any others on more than one occasion. The first time you pmed me I didn't even know where you were from, so cut the ;)
thanks !
