Hey, I am a New Yorker who is being sent to England on business. I looked up this PVD show. How hard is it to get to Manchester from London? Can anyone give me any pointers? I've never been to the UK before.....

Thanks in advance,

Liam

Its not difficult, just goto www.nationalrail.co.uk. I presume your going to the GK MEN arena event and not slinky as slinky is in bournemouth.

A good night was had, great to meet up with the irish again!
Not sure about Dave Lea's so called warmup set and why did he get 3 hours? Airwave in a warmup set, hmmmmm.

Sheridan played a good trancey set with some techy stompers for the last 30 mins. Could do with finding the names of his last couple of tracks. Eichelrück was a pleasant surprise

Pvd banged out the trancers, very little tech. But it was a definately a banging set. Was good to hear stop the rock on the OH soundsystem. Last 4 tracks were a bit shady. There was also some amazing lass in a white vandit top, which made for some good eye candy!

Off the top of my head Dyk's set went a bit like this:

01. Marcos - Cosmic String (Marc van Linden Remix)
02. Sander van Doorn - Dark Roast (PvD Edit)
03. ID
04. Simon & Shaker - Make It (Dub Mix)
05. CJ Stone - Shine (Heart Of Stone Mix) (Paul van Dyk Rework)
06. Paul van Dyk - Other Side
07. Apollo 440 - Stop The Rock (Gigolo Instrumental)
08. Keane - Last Time (Martin Roth Rework)
09. ID
10. Whitewater - The Unknown (Paul van Dyk Remix)
11. U2 - Where The Streets Have No Names (Nu-NRG Remix)
12. Ridgewalkers feat El - Find (Kyau vs Albert MIx)
13. Randy Katana - Fancy Fair 2005
14. ID
15. Jonesey - Independance (Stadium Mix) [PvD Rework]
16. Re:Locate - Typhoon [PvD Rework]
17. Paul van Dyk - Nothing but You
18. Paul van Dyk - For An Angel (Marc van Linden Remix)
19. Active Sight - Out of Our Lives
20. Paul van Dyk - Other Side:D

yeah it was a pretty poor warm-up in my opinion, meant the night didnt have a huge amount of progression.

i was chatting to some irish blokes too, one said he bhad seen PvD 11 times in the last 18 months :eyes: and was taking quite a few photos from the stage, may have to try and get a look at those at some time

I requested Apollo 440 - Don't Stop The Rock (Gigolo Instrumental) right when PvD walked on stage. It was absolutely mind-blowing to hear; massive respect to Paul.

[I don't recall hearing Time of Our Lives; I do recall Nothing But You)

Yeah, Nothing but you was definitely played, & Sykadelik really seemed to be feeling it on the floor!! He didn't play Time of our Lives.
I must av been more wasted than I thought I was cos I honestly don't recall him playing The Last Time, Independence or Outside & I hardly left the dance floor during PvD's set! Was def feeling Stop the Rock tho. Went down very well. Overall, thought it was an excellent night, but as everyone has already said, Dave Lea's set wasn't really very much of a warm up. Why the did he get 3 hrs!! Would av been better if Sheridan had been playing the 3 hr set, or moreso, PvD himself! :D
aquinn101
Actually, think I might recall Outside being played now when I think of it!!
