I'd like you to explain why you think that tracklist is tho. Some negative feedback would be intresting.

Hey maybe we could discuss it over a nice JD & coke next time ur at Slinky.

Please do say Hi.

Well seriously what is there to offer on that CD that literally hundreds of others out there aren't already offering themselves? To me that is just big tune after big tune after big tune in no particular order, with no real diversity, plus the added couple of token 'tech-trance' tracks randomly thrown in for good measure. This is just my take on it of course. And don't get me wrong, I was not trying to offend either, but at the end of the day if someone can't take being put down from some random on a messageboard then maybe they're in the wrong business.

To be honest I don't see myself coming to Slinky anytime soon as there has not been a lineup that has appealed to me since Creation was still happening back in 2003. But i'll be sure to come say hi if i do; never have been one to turn down a JD & coke. ;)

I am not a resident anywhere. What does this have to do with anything? Are you saying I need to be a resident somewhere myself before I can pass judgement on other DJ's who are? Of course I ing don't. If this were the case then your "we think it's pretty awesome" comment wasn't really warranted either was it?

Haha, this thread is well amusing! :p

I wonder if any of these have ever stepped foot in a club outside of Bournemouth. I can't understand such blind loyalty when there is so much more out there to offer. Grief.

Thats a fair enough comment man. I only asked you to explain your reasons for saying it was .

Exactly - What some random on a forum says about me doesnt really bother me. Like I said I only asked you to explain your comments. If I was bothered I would of got all abusive, but thats not my style mate.

Anyway - Life goes on.

The fact that lots of people also likes Dav's CD is a good indication and maybe if you went to Slinky and appreciated the music for what it is you may have a good time if you dont like what they play dont go.

Paul Van Dyk was an awesome night and IMO the best clubbing experience for me of this year. Over nights at Godskitchen, Brighton, Pacha, Fabric and Wildchild events in Milton Keynes, Heaven and SEone. surely that must make blind loyalty as i never go anywhere!

But hey everyone to there own opinon and im just voicing mine!

Mikey, thats just completely irrelevent... But if you want to get petty then yes, we do go to other clubs, godskitchen, fabric, turnmills and the list goes on.

Then i would ask you this... Have you ever been to a club where PVD hasnt been headlining? Any way thats beside the point.

And is it really so bad that people who do go to slinky jump to the defence of the residents? Even if it means (shock, horror) posting on a different board?

All im saying is that you can't call a DJ e unless you've experienced a set from him or her? Or is that just that just me?

Of course I have, on countless occassions. I don't know why so many people just think I cluelessly follow him around. I even missed this Slinky night because he is playing really at the moment.

Yes, I find signing up on a board soley for the reason of personally insulting me pathetic. Are their arguements of 'defence' really that thin that all they can do is insult the way I look?

Why are you assuming I have not seen these DJ's first hand? The only ones I havn't seen live are Dav Gomrass and Tim Lyall (whose 'techno' playlists that i've seen are not my cup of tea at all.) I'm not randomly slating residents of a club that i've not heard of before just for the fun of it. Some clubs have some fantastic residents to offer, ie; Ashley Casselle, Ben Lost (well not anymore), Maley, Dean Muhsin, etc. I don't think any of the Slinky residents are anywhere near this sort of level.

class. ;)

my opinion, and keep in mind i've only been to slinky twice, but i'll say jon gurd does great as warmup and shan (not sure if he's one of the rezzies) played an awesome tech set after john askew last year. so no, i dun think slinky residents are . unfortunately, i've never seen dav spin so i won't comment on that.

just to go back a little, i think there is nothing wrong starting a night off a bit more hard and energetic. especially if the night only goes to 2-3am as it does in slinky...if the night goes to 5-6am, then yea, i dun want to jump straight into things, but if i'm only going to get 4-5 hours, i'd like as much good solid trance as i can get. :p
