| Hmmm.. Actually im not even very sure of the divisions between them. Some progressive songs have massive buildups also dun they.. Haven't been listening to recent songs also. But i guess i'll still go with uplifting.. Prog (or what i think it is) at its best is dreamy and very catchy.. But it seldom brings me to higher states of happiness. Uplifting.. Well.. When i hear it at its best i often just melt into the music and hope i never get out :crazy: Imo uplifting has that euphoric element because of the anticipation during the buildup and the explosion after that.. Progressive is just a journey that you are in and the music slowly blends into you.. It lacks that ecstacy and jumpy feeling because the feeling is too gradual. I like to be in a frenzy :D BUT still have to say that uplifting got TOO formulaic.. Have to agree with the guy who says that progressive is definitely newer and more exciting than the hey-this-buildup-sounds-so-forced uplifting sounds of today. |

| yus yus... prog all the way, think of 'octopus' (art of trance) a classic... yes it is repetetive but... Very Very catchy |

| I prefer uplifting when it's DONE RIGHT! However, it seems that progressive is what's doing right, always something fresh. |

| im partial to elevated/uplifting stuff, whether it is progressive or trance...tunes that are happy music totally dominate my musical scene. |
