| Montage is a B- rated club IMO. I saw Tiesto there in December and I really didn't like it. The dance floor is tiny. The DJ booth is on the second story so you can't see the talent unless you are on the second story and the sound system completely sucks on the 2nd story NO BASS. The lighting is terrible, they have no lasers, very little smoke, and the dance floor gets packed so you end up on the 2nd story whether you like it or not. A large amount of "Fakes" show up too. Parking can be a really bad if you get there late because they do not have a lot!!! You have to park on the street, but at least it's free. ONE HUGE COMPLAINT--> Tiesto was supposed to spin 3 hours, he only did 2 hours and 15 minutes, then DJ Sergio (total funky house) takes over for the last 45 minutes. I nearly vomited! I simply walked out and met some Tiesto fans outside who were also disgusted. |

Let me shed some light on Montage and also respond to Electrophile.
Montage is one of the best clubs in SD. The vibe, normally the people, and the energy in that club can be off the charts. WHen Electrophile saw Tiesto @ Montage it was at an event thrown by EVENTVIBE.com. There following tends to be more shiny shirt, "I want to be seen" type crowd.
Montage has now been taking over by Swoon Productions, a very large promoter of the Underground scene and just brining good music.
The dj booth has been lowered to the ground floor so you can interact with the dj, the entire sound system has been revamped and the lighting has been entirely re-done. Montage is essentially a brand new club.
Anyway, they are off to big things and even bigger things here in the future.
Stay tuned for March 18th, Brad Adam's, Austin Scott & Victor Dinaire.

From what I've seen in the past, I'd say C-rated.

That is very good news. It will be so much better with the dj booth on the ground floor. I Can't wait to check out the new Montage. B&J! |
