I am an avid A&F, Hollister and American Eagle shopper... regardless of the you guys wanna say about them, i love shopping at those places.

I used to shop there in high school but I had my head way up my ass back then.

i dont like going into their store too much, but their pants (not jeans) are the only store where they fit me, so i go there. dont buy anything else from there. when i do buy pants from there it is like $50-60, i wont spend more than that. i dont think the price is that bad being that i cant find pants that fit me anywhere else.

$120 for jeans? I haven't ever spent more than $40 Canadian for jeans:p

i love holister and abercrombie. just sucks sometimes when somebody else has your exact shirt. PUMA is GREAT if your in europe. ide actually think europeans would be more fashion saavy than here in the states. shouldnt there be more clothing options over in europe?

ultimate store is EXPRESS FOR MEN. your sure to never see somebody else wearing the same thing if u buy your clothes from there.

seriously, people that shop at a&f and AE and like that, just as bad as emo people style wise. They try to look retro.

Least emo people have the common sense to goto a thrift store and buy the exact same looking things for about 1/1000th of the price.

I give the emo's a big high five for this one!

i've tried many different styles over the years and i've found that i prefer the typical american youth preppy look. No matter where they've taken the style, i've followed an enjoyed it. Its not like i dress this way to be friends with a certain clique, cause more or less im already friends with most of them. its not an issue like that. i just like looking nice and clean and soooooo yeah

Let me clarify:

I have 3 or 4 Abercrombie pieces. Sometimes I like what I see in the store. Most of the time, though, it's not worth wading through crowds of tourists and 14 year olds to get a shirt. You should see the attacks on the sale table; they're violent and well-planned enough to make Napoleon proud. And I definitely have no problem with someone who wears A&F and Hollister and stuff, who am I to judge? They're better dressed than I am! :haha: And if I had the money, I would shop there more. But the $30 long sleeve shirts I bought from there wore out and faded after 5 washes. I have shirts I've worn for years and they look brand new... come on.

ppl who dedicate themselves to the AF look I find are wanting in other areas of their life like personality.

yeah to add to the anti a&f/hollister argument, the manager at the pool i worked at last summer was an awesome guy, totally fit the hollister mold and whatnot and wore some stuff by them, and also had been a manager at a hollister
and he wasn't just a poser that fit the mold, he was buff as hell, a surfer, and had hiked most of the appalachian trail by himself :wtf:
dope guy
point of the story...after being a manager for about a year i think, he was hiring new people and had it down to like just a few applicants
he was gonna hire two people, and there were two people who were really really well qualified, excellent workers, and nice people, but 'didn't fit the hollister image' said the district manager
aka they weren't good looking enough/didn't look all that great in hollister clothes (which they had to wear while at work)
so the DM told my friend not to hire them, and instead hire two of the other people who were your average good looking people but really didn't have good references or experience or anything
so he hired the well qualified people anyways, and quit the next day as word was on the way that he was fired
so basically, wtf elitest bitchy clothing stores
