Ok I'm updated. This TA 4 is getting a bad taste. I always thought it was better for the dj(s) to search for their tracks to play themselves. There's enough on here to find when you look here once in a while, just search for big threads.
Pity it has to go this way. I don't mind not being on TA4 because of the bad feeling the creators probably have making this (it will probably be heard :( ) and because of the fact my submission is dated now and just ain't my best.
Another thing is that in this way there could be some artists missing like Sunquest and BuRo who could easily bring useful tracks in this mix. A little late, but I'd say drop the submission method.
Anyways, we'll just see how this baby gets birth..

one reason i would disagree with this is that because if you were to actively search out artists for this project, a) there would be much less involvement in terms of amount of good tracks, b) only the more well known artists would be picked (lesser known artists on this board such as myself would not be considered) and c) it would take even longer and much more effort for the organizers to set something up like this |

you must be lesser known for a reason. either you do'nt post enough, or you've just joined or something. i think those TAs that ARE known should be given automatic priority as respect for their contributions to this forum
makes sense to me
plus all this submission stuff makes the thread a million pages long and half of it is just annoying posts telling ppl to hurry up (myself included, lol) |

I've posted in these forums for over 3 years... i have been very involved giving lots of feedback and advice until about this past year where i've been swamped with schoolwork and other things and have not been able to post on the forum much... (search for my posts)
I guess if you base the next TA unite based on the amount of posts and activity on TA you have, then I guess I'm not "worthy" to be part of it.. |

Hm, I don't agree with these points. I think it's really the other way around, except for b. But for b counts that if you just post your tracks here, and they're good, they get noticed, that's a fact. If you don't post here you don't belong on TA Unite, i think you'll agree on this. The point made in a is not true because there are producers around here who dont read the stickies or don't post any track here because they need to be asked to, cause they feel like: no im not interested in posting my full tracks for TA4 because of label issues. When you ask for it it's more likely to get a track. If you don't ask for a full 320 in stead of the posted 128 kbps sample, you'll never get it. And c is not true either cause when you come here often you get all the tracks you need to create a mix worhty calling TA Unite 4. |

I don't get enought comments imo and I do post much...
I don't know what does it mean but I haven't seen luke or nick on my threads.
Therefor I don't think I'll get selected for the next unite if this was the system.
But I still think it's a good idea. |
