I caught last weeks and this weeks as well.
It's funny but I think in most cases it is other issues (not the addiction) that needs to be addressed.

Yes, that is another thing that most people do not realize, most of all the actual addict. Their behaviour is just a symptom of a larger issue. They concentrate on the symptom rather than the cause.

On tonight at 10pm.

Addiction is a weird thing.

I think that we can all pontificate on it as much as we want, but won't ever understand it until it has been personally experienced.

Of course there is a "right" thing to do - but the addiction thing changes the logic and thought process. What is right and easy decision for a non-addict could be the impossible for an addict.

Lastly, and addict won't change until they realize that their lifestyle causes more loss, hurt and pain than good. Only by associating the addiction with massive loss, massive pain and massive hurt can one "re-program" the mind to loose the addition and never desire the addictive activity again.

On now! Repeats again later tonight.

Just watched it today....I can't believe the parents are STILL paying their daughter's expenses:eyespop: even after the intervention.....really sad

500 partners, 2 condoms...thats so wrong.

its interesting how gamblers are the ones that are in the most denial about their addictions, whats even more disturbing is the fact that casinos are legal..surely the human costs outweigh the financial, but try telling that to greedy politicians

Yeah- so much for that group of people sticking to their guns of ultimatums... The bf leaving w/her set a real bad example too. So ya- it's weird how the gamblers are the ones who put up the biggest fight when it comes to this intervention. Maybe her family shoulda pointed out she was missing nothing at home by not going- it's not like she had a job. School can always be repeated. Bottom line- she could not deal w/the thought of leaving her beloved casino.

Looks like next week's episode is the last of the new ones until Apr 17.

Yea, I did catch it...:)

That Gabe guy, totally socially inept, as many people with genius level IQ's are....Really not wanting the help, not seeing that he really has a problem...

so if he is such a damn genius, how come he can't count cards to win everytime? or does he think he can but fails?

i haven't seen one episode yet but i would assume that's how he got started.
