Actualy, it's not ok. An external mixer would be ok, but with that BEHRINGER you have way too much control. It's like spining on cd-players.
Even it's not my buissnes, I'd suggest you buy a regular dj mixer to use it as a controler (u still have to beatmatch using traktor), later you could buy a pair of players and you got yourself a dj setup.

What I think and HOPE he meant, was he practiced and practiced till he knew the order and way to mix it. Then on day 4 went for it and was happy with the result. |

i allready got one, but i'm not using it with my pc..
i bet 8 of 10 people dont using traktor's keyboard shortcuts, that IS control, i'm using traktor almost 2 years, if u know the shortcuts you have total control!

traktor is a live player so my mix was in real time, dah! :P
i choosed the tracks, without choose the order, and mixed it 5-6 times with different techniques!
example, on my first attempt, first track was "save me", i looped the "DIN DON" from 24 theme, and have it playing together, when the drums from save me stopped i released the loop and started turning down the tempo, to make it sound like a mk2 when you are closing the power, it was a good intro! the other attempts had a lot of EQ cuts, sound cuts and a lot of filter use (if anyone got some blank & jones live sets you know what i mean :))
my point, every attempt was different, i liked the last more than the others because it was clean, without cuts or vinyl-like effects, i like messing up with EQ's etc, but i dont think judjes will like that too :P
anyway, its not DMC's competition, relax and have fun...
by the way....WHY do i get the best transitions when I'M NOT recording? lol |
