well a lot of people have extremely busy lives and don't have time to really sit on the computer and do research and try to find info on DJ's and tunes and stuff, so we figure, "hey, maybe one of these guys will know" so we go in a chatroom or a forum and ask, and then all those guys are like, "pshh, i'm not giving up all the information i worked my ass of getting, bla bla bla"
whenever i get excited about a song i've discovered (or a song that was sent to me, i should say...i rarely discover songs! haha) i'm always so excited to share it, i just start sending it to whoever whill accept it because i want to see if they love it as much as i do. i know this sounds cheesy and cliche' but i really am all about the music. i just want everyone to love it and appreciate it the same way i do.

i mean...its not like i agree with you and i don't like to share tunes. i share with people i am friends with or who ask me about stuff...if Erik (NiteMer) came to me and was like oh that song was badass what is it...i'm gonna tell him...
now lets turn the tables a little...
what if i started a thread where i was like..."post some great marketing ideas". are you gonna start divulging every idea that you hold because someone you don't know is looking for ideas? no...of course not. that's all i'm saying. you might tell your idea to some of the people that are close to you...but you aren't just gonna start blabbing it all over for everyone. i just see finding good tunes the same way because i feel i have a vested interest in it... |

maybe i am lost, but sharing marketing IDEAS isn't the same as sharing info that's already out there in the world.
i thought we were just talking about how people can be stingy about rare records/tunes/info they grab off the net or whatever... |
