Sauvignon Blancs & Semillon Sauvignon Blancs from the Marlborough region of NZ are awesome. Others that i like include Babich, Montana, Cloudy Bay and Deutz (Deutz is Sparling wine though :p )

I work in a bottle shop, so i'm around wine all day at work. Too bad i haven't tried that many :wtf:

cheers, I'll keep a lookout for those :)

Jackson Triggs or Cave Springs Reisling :stongue:
lücid
Ruffino Gold Label.

i also enjoy Mamertino and Door County Plum Wine. i'm not much of a wine drinker. i prefer liqour/beer, but i do get in those rare moods where i crave a good glass of wine, or when i'm eating a fine meal.

or after i watch the movie Sideways. :clown:

Sorry dude, but i tried the Clos du Bois Merlot AND Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 and they both SUCKED! lol

my favorites up to date are:

From Rioja
Coto de Imaz 1995 gran reserva
Coto de Imaz 1998 reserva

Merlot
Estola 1994

Pinot Noir
Louis Jadot 2001
Kings Estate (forgot the year lol)
La Crema 2001

and a spanish wine called:

Montecillo gran reserva 1998

Most of these wines are Spanish. I love spanish wine and of course you can see i only drink red wine. As for the one's that are not french....kings estate is from california (one of the few pinot noir's that isnt from France that i like, and the rest are french.

We have wine parties every week....my knowledge is going to grow with time....and i definitely need to buy that damned wine rack :tongue2

Excellent choices! All fabulous wines. There's a type of wine produced in Germany, and the official name is slipping from my mind right now, but I know it translates into "iced wine". It is simply fabulous. You can buy it in Germany at Epcot! Expensive, but worth it. :)

I'm a big fan of Merlot's. Don't really care for white wine, unless it's really good. I have a bottle of '82 Lafitte at home. I'll probably drink it with my mother as her birthday gift (bottle retails in CT for ~$750). My dad had purchased a few cases, back then, and gave me one.

any kind of pinot noir...not really picky. some merlots are ok, but most of the time they have a little too much bite for me...the noir is smoother.

I had wine from a $12,000 bottle once. It wasn't worth it.

We just recently had another wine tasting at my job, and I had a blast. I love the smoothness of wine. Surprisingly, I was one of the only females that actually enjoyed most of the different types of wine. Then again, my mother has been teaching me the different tastes of wine since I was a little girl. The one wine I thought was disgusting all the other girls liked. "Plum Wine". It's one of our Japanese wines. It tastes like pure syrup to me.

I am addicted to wine.

im going to start my collection once i get a job and dont have to look for money in between the cushions on my couch. :wtf:

but once i do im buying a $300 wine rack, along with wine bottles ranging from $20-$40 to begin with....

inevitably ill be buying wines with a lot more price in it, but let it be known.....wine prices usually dont mean its based on quality of the wine but the rarity of the wine ;)

so we'll see what happens...

right now im just into wine parties (merlot nights, shiraz nights, etc..)... im on the list of my local package store for their wine tasting parties.

I figure its a good way to educate yourself. PLUS, if you're with a chica and u go to a resteraunt, its best to know which wine is the and which wine tastes like ;)
