WTF Republik? (pg. 3)

On Republik's Website it says that OS/2 :whip: from Destiny will be a resident :eyes: dJ there. I heard the cover is $15 before 1or2 am and $20 after. I also heard the dress code would be loosen past 2 am. Basicly I wouldn't recomend for anybody to go clubbing anywhere wearing: a pair of basketball shoes, ripped jeans,a sports jersey and baseball cap  /LOL

That is one thing I won't bend on. I like to dance without sore feet. I want to be myself and have fun.

Dissapointing:(

Totally agree....I won't be going as well to a club with a "Style Code" even though i've heard that the club "may" let some TAs in with certain kinds of runners but I'm not gonna go & let some bouncer say NO after I've payed my $15 parking fee & then wait in line,etc...

And Matt (aka Spam)...big UPS for this thread:D & hope you guys have fun & am curious for the review afterwards.

I dunno if im gonna like republik... No Hats... and No Runners... No Sports Gear...

I wonder if that includes my NEWR shirt... cause if it does... theres no point in partying... all my gear is gone

"no runners" usually means no white running shoes...not that you can't wear ANY runners.

my opinion...wear whatever you want, but look "decent"...and have a backup plan to go somewhere else if they don't let you in...if they turn you away, don't go back. simple ;)

most places, partiularly new ones, generally don't make a habit out of turning away business when competition is relatively fierce. I'm guessing Republik isn't going to be terribly strict...if they are, go to Guv, System, Boa or Docks. Lots of options!

Guys, remember who the people involved with this are, then use that info to calm and soothe yourselves.

The talent will be there, the dress-code is more like a style code.. meaning don't dress like a cheesy highschool kid most likely.

The only place that ever didn't admit me in this city for runners was Film. As long as your runners are looking sharp, and not dirty worn out rags, you'll likely be fine.

Afterall, many of the same complaints/stress were expressed when Boa came about, and things have worked out quite nicely there.

Have a little faith. :)

Man, I don't know what kind of dress shoes you guys are thinking of, but the pairs I own are more comfortable to wear for long periods of time than any basketball shoe/running shoe I've ever owned.

I have zero problems with this.
