WTF Republik? (pg. 4)

I wear black leather shoes all the time. Only worn runners to a club a few times. Couple of things to keep in mind when shopping for dressy yet comfy shoes (for men):
- The upper (part of the shoe that encloses the foot, excluding the sole) should be soft leather. But not too soft so that it won't stretch too much (all leathers stretches after they're broken-in.)
- Make sure the sole is flexible and bends easily. Also make sure it's not too thick like dockers. When you try on the shoes check if the sole has a cushioned footbed and is not hard.
- Don't buy shoes with too many criss-crossing tread patterns. This makes it a lot harder to dance because they have too much traction. A 'V' shaped tread works best. Why? bcuz is looks like a sports tire... built for speed but not much traction.
- Avoid heels if possible. If the outsole is completely flat so much the better. I've noticed that flat outsoles are generally made of flexible rubber and don't have too many treads. These usually make the best dancing shoes.

Hope this helps. I used to work in a shoe store for 2+ years. :)

I see we are back on the shoe thing... The dress code says style code with no trainers... Sport shoe's are club wear and are OK but any kind of trainer is not OK. Dont come dressed looking like your ready to go to the gym and you will be fine. We will relax the code later into the evening to accomodate late night partiers who want to hear quality talent. I hope this answers the questions.

Thanks

$15 is not much for cover at all. Especially with the sound and light technology and the calibre of the DJs. An extra $5 over most other clubs is very acceptable considering what you are getting.
