| Before they remove her feeding tube they should give her an abortion. Just to round out electronicmaji's day. |

| The feeding tube has been removed (clamped). A judge overturned the Senate's request for her to "testify," an attempt ot keep her alive against the wishes of 11 previous rulings. |

| i think they should have just feed her fast food until she died of a heart attack. at least she would die with a smile on her face as she sucked down her last big mac and super sized fries |

Johnny your arguements are ridiculous in regards to the Schiavo case. I guess my first question is if you have any experiences similar to what the Schiavo's are going through.
Please show me a credible source (from someone other than her parents) that say she is able to react in an intellegent manner to outside stimuli. What she is doing now, blinking, moving, etc. is all reflex action, nothing that she is consciously controlling.
If someone had a dog or cat that was in a similar situation, they would "put it out of it's misery," because it is the HUMANE thing to do. Now when we have a human, who's husband (her legal guardian) claims that she would never want to live like this in the first place, tries to let a woman that should have died years ago die a humane death, we find it objectionable. We don't even treat our own pets this poorly.
I'm jaded, I'll admit, because I've worked in a cancer hospital for the last two years, and I've seen this happen way too many times. The family of an individual can't let go, resulting in the patient either elongating their pain and suffering, or "living" in a vegatative state while the family just prolongs their own pain and suffering. After working there the thing that scares me most is how I will die. I cannot imagine anyone would want to be kept "alive" in the state that Terri finds herself in.
There's something called dying with dignity and another thing called closure. Terri and her family need both of these things desperately. |
Thank you for putting Johnny in his place. Let her die, I cant imagine ever being in that situation but if I ever was I would think that hopefully one of my family members would realize that I want to die and pull the plug
ps Go see Million Dollar Baby |

The tube will be put back in. Its not an immediate thing, the idea is to let her die of starvation. A person can live several weeks without food. |
wtf? isn't that a really ed up way to die? why don't they give her a lethal injection or something like that instead? |

Because while you have a right to refuse medical treatment (ie: a feeding tube), euthenasia is illegal depending upon what state you're in. |

you can thx the right to lifers for that. dieing with dignity on your own terms is illegal in the USA  and doctors are afraid of getting sued. these issues could be avoided if ppl only specified what they want done in writing, but many erroneously fear they'll be denied medical treatment if they do so. |
