Lotsa kiddies, and the floor was packed.
the line was quite long from the time I got there, a little after 11 pm, and I heard it got longer later on.
Not many TA's there, at least among the ones I know. In attendance were EnigmaT, ddr2k4, avikonen, and Thero40.
Perry O'Neil played a marvelous opening set, and Armin followed with his usual excellence.
I thought the lasers were great.
Also, there was open access to the area behind the DJ booth. |

Perry's set was better than Armin's IMO.
First time I wanted to see the opener more than the headliner. Perry was the deciding factor for me to go to Spirit last night. And he showed me that I made the right choice.:)
Armin had some mixing errors towards the end. It seemed like he didn't care anymore and put no effort in mixing.
Armin was too predictable: i.e. started with "Ave Mea", ended with "Communication", played that "unknown Adagio sounding track" he has at the end, and played "PvD-tell me why (vandit mix)". He played that pvd track the last time he was here at roxy I believe.
He did surprise me with a harder set in the middle. You people call it experimenting, I call it "fillers":rolleyes:
I actually wanted to hear Perry again. He should of came back after Armin and played some encores. This Perry will be HUGE!

SICK NIGHT!!!!! armin's set was ridiculously HARD!!!!!!!! i was not expecting that. i got there at like 1 because parking is in horrible and i ended up payin $40 bucks to park right across the street. anyway, i got in and perry was rippin it up, he played most of the songs from armin's armada @ ibiza album, but it was awesome. the main floor was packed so thats y i was upstairs the whole time where there was nobody. the sound system was on point for the night and sounded pretty good!! it was so in loud i had to make earplugs out of a napkin:eek: :) ..... armin came on at about 2 and was hard right from the beginning, he played some good tracks (i cant id much sorry) but i kno he played

i liked his set but alot of it sounded the same but it wasreal hard. i left at 4-45 and im at work now at 9 |

I thought Perry's set was much better as well. was hot. Armin was dropping some really hard starting at about 3:00 - I thought my ears were going to bleed. Not what I expected. The crowd was wack - people seriously need to bathe... it smelled awful down on the main floor.

Yeah, I didn't recognize much of Armins' set at all, it was definitely awesome though. My friend who wasn't even into trance loved every second of it. Great vibe in Spirit, too... that was my first time there. Stayed till about 5:30 or so before I had to get back. But overall, the experience was very good, Spirit is an awesome place... definitely can feel some of that old Arc vibe there, though it was a bit more packed than I'd thought it would be (but then again, it's Armin)... So that makes the 3rd time for me seeing him, and he never disappoints.

I don't know who had the better set, but they both ripped it up. I only recognizeda few songs played, I was having so much fun, I didn't even bother trying to ID some of the tracks. I do remember Andy Moor's Halcyon playing, and Adagio for Strings...was that the original Tiesto version, or the upcoming Phynn remix I've been hearing about?
as for the lasers, yea they were nice, I tried to get a pic, but my camera (actually, my friend's camera) isn't THAT powerful to pick it up clearly. I managed this: (i'll use links instead of cluttering with images)

Place was packed for the most part. For my first experience at a club, I'd say it was amazing...of course, maybe I'm biased because it was my first experience, but yea...I had a great time. |
