well, let's not get carried away now, there are still a few purebred american cars worthy of buying...one example, although superpricey, and ultra rare, is the Saleen S7 twin turbo, brand new for 2005...it's made just down the road from me in irvine, ca, usa

I like the S7 a bit. However, if i were to buy a supercar I would go for the upcoming Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT. That car is pure ego. |

Now are Fords as reliable as Hondas or Toyotas? No. But the looks of their products beat out any Civic or Corolla anyday. |
LMAO, there aren't any stock production Fords (within price range and except for the Mustang maybe) that look as nice as the new 2006 Honda Civic Si:

Granted it is still in concept form I would place money on it that Honda will release it very close to what those images show. |

Only decent looking American car is the Lexus, but its a American rip off of the Mercedes |

Okay first off....
- Lexus is Toyota
- M3 does NOT cost $40K... more like 50-60K (depending on options)
- I like the new Shelby... I'm not a fan of these types of cars anymore, but for what it is, I like it. I used to own a 98 SVT Cobra and the car had some good looks, decent power, but horrible interior and handling and transmission and springs and... you get the point.
But let's stick to the objective here... Ford has seem to have done an amazing job in getting all of this out of a 40K car... it's not a Ferrari, it's not a BMW, it's not a Toyota... it's an American muscle car. And for whoever commented on the T Birds and Cameros... those only went under because Mustangs were out-selling them...not because demand for the American muscle car has gone the way of the dodo.
