no, now it's the opposite

If we had signed on, we would have had full sovereignty of our air space and control over the BMD program through NORAD.

Now, the U.S. will shoot down whatever it pleases wherever it wants to.

because of the north american free trade agreement, jobs are being sent over seas because it has become cheeper for companies to outsource. The idea of the agreement was to stimulate the economy but instead it has hurt it further. More and more money is goign out and not enough is coming back in... the US is become a consumer economy apposed to manufacturing. The only thing we got left is pharmaceuticals and they may be outsourced as well.

(im not sure if thats what your saying... the wording of it is somewhat confusing)

Joining onto an unproven technology that was not in our best interests, just to appease our trading partner is bowing to american pressure.

Hell look at how well the whole bomark missles lasted and how we even gave up the avro arrow to support that move.

Some years later they scrapped the missles and we got stuck buying american war planes because our prime minister was too much of a to stand up for canadian industry.

At the end of the day in the EU we would be interacting with nations of similar sized GDP ( relativly) and also similar sized populations. Thus our concerns and issues will be taken seriously. As opposed to the jump and we ask how high relationship we are in now.

nafta is not that only/main reason why companies outsource.

its certantly not because they do a better job. They do an acceptable job at a quarter the price because it doesn't cost a corp moeny to trade, in this case employment, with outside nations.

Yes, I love calling for tech support and getting someone in India who cannot understand a damn word I say. I am more and more appreciative of the "made in America" tags on items I buy. Damn Georgie Bush! 3 more years of stonewalling and we can get rid of you!
