I went to that event as well. Hah, I didn't give two s about ANY other DJ there, what a pitiful lineup. I only went for PVD, right at the end. Someone else paid for my ticket so it wasn't a waste of money for me. :D He played Breathing (Breaks dub) and I was REALLY happy. :D

omg that ENTIRE event was a over and not to mention how pissed I was having to wait for Paul to come on...I was so mad I stayed sitting down outside till it was time for him...after he came on I totally forgot being mad or bothered...it was worth it going through that hell just to see him at the end. I was plotting at one point to throw something at DJ Icey and Donald Glaude... :: points gun to head:: it was horrendous. :whip:

We think so alike, it's scary.

I got there like 20-30 mins after he started but still enjoyed that set to death. The end of the night, now THAT was the sucky part for me... :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

Bottom line: he MADE that event. The other DJs were a joke. All genres that were lame. Guess that Ultra "beach" fest needed some "filler music" until THE REAL DEAL came on...PVD, DA MAN.

Then again, the place wasnt a club heh... PvD's favorite sets to me have been those done outdoors.. like the 4th of July, which was probably last years best set that Ive assisted... other then that, the club space last year @ the WMC, which was good, he played flight 643, where he killed me, but he just bored me to death with playing all the damm remixes of Nothing but you and the other reflections tracks.. Ultra was about the same tunes, but he just picked the best ones I guess, so I loved HeH .. this year PvD did a better set @ ultra then last yrs though.. he was just on fire.

that was my exception...hands down the best set not being in a club..I was shocked. I guess the only problem with the outdoor events is length...they are extremely short and are a huge tease.

Very true. Ultra "Beach" Fest was in the Miami Beach Convention center...to be honest TRANCE ENERGY was held in the Jaarbeurs, which in effect, is ALSO a convention Center. The only REAL difference is that the set-up and decor for Jaarbeurs was out of control and just so perfectly done. Beach fest wasn't bad but come on, that was one small hall they used, whereas Trance Energy was THREE GIANT halls, holding a maximum of 30,000+ people. The DJS make the place for sure, and Trance Energy was MADE by the unreal talent there, quite UNLIKE Beach Fest, where PVD was the only real headliner there. Icey, Anne, Glaude, who? When i got in there PVD was already tearing up the place.
