I made my first track "Shadow" with this too, unfortunately I losted it after my old computer crashed. :( I think, I have a part of that song in some old tape still. Was done in 2002/2003.
Here's the oldest I still have: Tomy - Flatliner [Original Mix]

I think a year ago there was a thread like this.. but couldn't find it.
About six years ago I started production with FastTracker and I came up with this: Jay M - Dance Force
Haha what a cheesy , but I do like it to listen to my first productions. This is one of my first attempts. Funny thing is I finished most of the tracks I started with, and so after I while I made my first album.. and my second.. and my third. Haha not too big hits on 'em tho ;) but it's so cool to listen to them later! never throw your work away!! |

I haven't got the first stuff I ever made, but I'll share my first Arctic Breeze tune. It's made in Fasttracker 2 and was done January 4th, 2000. Before that I had spent two years of remixing other tunes, trying to listen to the melodies and recreate them in the tracker.
Artic Breeze - Paradise (Part 1)
Winamp should play this allright, but it can't read the cutoff I've used. I think you'll need ModPlug Player / Tracker to read them. Fasttracker 2 won't read them either. Didn't bother to mp3'it! :p |
Yep Winamp works.. What cool samples you had man! haha
FastTracker rocks. Come on guys, more FastTracker tracks! :D |

| Haha I lost my first songs long long ago when I overrighted my performance settings for them. All my earlier work I programed on a keyboard sequencer, such a pina to bring into cubase and then get it back, I have all but just forgoten about the ones I still have and just write new ones. |

My first ever track was called "I lost my guitar" and it consisted of me and my mate banging out 4 chords on guitars and then dubbing the vocals over using a dual-cassette deck.
The song absolutely rocked, of course ;) (not)
Damn, that was in like, 1989 or something. |

heh, my first song was made in fruity loops 3.11
id taken a few melodies from other flp files, and strung 2 of them together.
i remember what i used to do with the step sequencer also, just put in all these random samples, then go crazy with my mouse and select any type of placing on the step sequencer.
its funny as hell when i remember how most of my songs turned out.
back then, this was about 2-3years ago i didnt even know what trance music and electronica etc was :S! |

hehe, you guys are newbies! ;) my first track was on amiga pro-tracker together with a friend. i don't have it anymore and i'm sure it was complete crap!
i know there are some other tracks online when i was winning some demo party music competitions. and if anyone around here actually remember hornet's "music contest" (MCX) i have some tunes there. but i'm not going to link to them :).. it's too embarrassing =)
good topic though! =) |
