Naah, women love diamonds. But unique idea though depending on what the birthstone is, so maybe a combination of diamond & birthstone (if it matches). |

The diamond derives its name from the Greek word adamas, meaning unconquerable.
Most diamonds found in nature are between one and three billion years old.
Most expensive diamond: $16,548,750. It was bought in 1997 and was 100 carats.
The first recorded diamond engagement ring was given to Mary of Burgundy from Archduke Maximillian of Austria in 1477 as a betrothal gift.
It is believed that a diamond: endows the wearer with courage and fortitude; brings victory and good fortune; wards off evil; protects against the plague; promotes constancy in a marriage.
Now dont be a cheapass TTA ;) ;) ;) Spoil the lucky girl!! |

Knowing full well that my better half reads this site and that you COR whores have no lives, I figured I'd mention that I've decided to get engaged to my current g.f (she knows this is coming anyway but not when, I got a date picked out in my mind but I shall tell NO ONE!) in the next while but I dunno what type of ring to get her, so ideas anyone, I don't really want to drop 2K on an engagement ring, when I could save it for my wedding.
oh for your backwards morons that might point out, why is TTA pointing this out, remember numbnuts that the next while to me is indefinite, meaning I could do it in May 06, June 05, Aug 07. |
apparently the average price for a diamond engagement ring is $3500-$4000 US Dollars :eyes:

Totally agree with this. Diamonds are so lame. If a girl madly expects diamonds she isn't in it for the love.
How about getting some kind of old/antique silver ring with some cool semi-precious stone in it?? I think it would be more original then a boring diamond...just an idea
btw....did you hit up Hybrid at systems (last weekend??) |
