some tool in the music discussion forums tried to compare Gabriel and Dresden to Sasha and Digweed and that they are the new duo pushing EDM music forward! What an idiot! although some of their productions aren't that bad and I must admitt that I enjoyed alot of their productions, they have alot to learn about the concept of djing and beatmatching.

how are they totally incomparable? obviously talking G&D now to S&D 'then' (ie the early renaissance days). are you suggesting G&D are not pushing EDM forward? (big call) or that they can't beatmatch well? (listen to diggers' early 90s live mixes, whoops) or what?
not having a go, just not neccesarily convinced that G&D are useless twats doing nothing while sasha and diggers make the world go round.

G&D vs. S&D
Melbourne vs. Sydney..
personally, i think whilst sasha' dj skillz/sets might be better the G&D sound is much better and eventually with the right exposure, be enjoyed by more people then the sasha/diggers sound.. obviously this is open to different opinion.. |
