Pretty much the same, just these days it's more focus on building up with the bass or melody while back then the buildup was with the synth.

I dunno...listen to Nick Warren GU 003 Prague...its all old trance...and great stuff...Cafe Del Mar is on there...but so are a bunch of other great tracks...and many of them very unique, with different builds, breakdowns and basslines.
Either way, I prefer house as a whole...there are more interesting tangents it can go off into...like electro house, prog house, etc, and theres alot more creativity. I think today most trance producers need to branch out more...just listen to Digweed's Fabric 20...its just so varied and amazing.... |
