Just for the record I strongly recommend reading that article in the British GQ (previous month - still on stands) about Iran and suicide bombers. It's an excellent read, quite interesting and very eye opening...you might even find some unexpected things there :) A bit long but definitely worth reading. ;)

Explain exactly how discussing this on the forum is positive. What were you trying to accomplish?
Sensitive issues such as these should be reserved for those intimate discussions with your close and personal friends. |

I was born there and I have family there as well and the people there are not what many of you here think they are.Dont judge a whole nation based on some y article like this one.
Note to Starchaser: wtf are you trying to prove by posting like this anyways?make the people look like "mosters"? You know you will piss off alot of people on this board by putting like this.so why do you still do it? I can go and find ed up articles about IDF and post them here everyday too but I choose NOT to.
Every country has its own share of bad and good citizens but to pick on the those ed up minorities is just plain stupid. |

With respect to the fools who would go blow themselves up.. all i can say is that i blame the EXTREMIST ISLAMIC PIECES OF mullahs that are in power.
Other than that.. a "Few hundred" people signing up to become martyrs compared to 70 million persians who dont care for that stuff really puts things into perspective doesnt it?
Im sure there are THOUSANDS of israeli jewish settlers that would want to rid the world of MILLIONS of arabs (espescially palestinians) but that isnt broadcasted |

Wow...what a delicate balance...you've got people here who are very close and personal friends so they probably want to discuss these types of things openly and then you have others who are not that close and these posts create barriers rather than remove them...
*sigh* I'm Pakistani but I lived in the mid east and have experience and all but I don't really have to get into that. The point is that it's a matter of trust. When someone posts something the other has no idea what his/her intentions are. The person can be totally innocent or totally hurtful. You have to have a high level of respect and trust to make these relationships on this website work, and part of it is transparency.
Starsearcher, this is a free country (thank God) but wouldn't it be nicer for those TAs who might be offended (if you care about them) to add a few more words to state your intentions; a few details stating what exactly is so positive about the article and showing the two sides rather than just quoting the negative aspects? And perhaps following with the fact that you have hope and that you're glad that the TAs here make you feel so safe and that you wish other communities abroad could share that same feeling? I don't know you yet but I'm sure this is in your mind; however other people don't see it (or may not want to see it) but you're covered!!! I guess this is political correctness and I just had a discussion about that with ShadoWolf...
ShadoWolf posted something about Turkish invaders recently and I kinda got offended so I was replying with, "oh you have to know the other side of the story" and stuff. Then I thought, why do you have to be politically correct in such a fun and vibrant community...let it out as it is!!! Who cares how offensive you are? I guess I may be way more tolerant and I know that the people who care about me would always stick by me and that sense of security gives me the patience not to be angered by anyone's opinion.
That being said, I agree with b4k-oz that this is a community dedicated to TRANCE MUSIC and this is what binds us no matter what our opinions are about politics. At the same time, people should feel free to post what they want and political correctness need not apply...only sincerety and honesty should be there...and if you are a CARING person then the truth will come out in your words!!!! Just take the extra time to say it!!!! :)

Well this is turning into flame and that at all was not my intention...and I also started off by saying that I've read an article about Iran that was very positive and quite surprising that I've encouraged everyone to read. AND I've also said that it's just a small number of freaks...
In any case it was not my intention to start a flame war again and I just quoted this from the news wires didn't make anything up. So lets stop this now...

Im sure he would post if a hundred canadian rapers got togehter and told everyone that they are doing it for ...(some or other reason).
