ok it looks a lot better in those new pics and i like the idea of case mods. but im still so interested in wot nintendo are doing tho that i dont really care much about the xbox and ps3. reports out now that revolution will have squeezable controllers with "advanced voice support" and possibly some kind of 3d display. Sounds bonkers to me but i cant wait to see it, whenever that may be.

I'm really curious, too. Can't wait until E3 to find out. The console is going to blow us away. It'll actually be a Revolution if all the rumors are true...

Not to be pessimisstic, but I've learned over the years that it's best to keep your expectations in check when talking about Nintendo. I do admit though, that I'm always most intrigued by what Nintendo has to offer. I guess it's the kid in me. I grew up on Nintendo so deep down I always want them to truly blow me away. Half of the time they do, and half of the time they don't.

Speaking about the Revolution though, for those that haven't been following it, here are the rumours going around about Nintendo's next system (lemme know which I'm missing):

Stereoscopic imaging (think: 3D imaging)
Touch-screen controllers
Gyroscopes (eg. tilt controller to the right, car in game turns right, etc)

...and now the latest one I've heard: Nintendo DS doubles as a controller. This would make sense. It has the capability to connect since both the Revolution and DS support Wi-Fi.

Anyways...moving on to the Xbox360's Live and the leaked specs. Very impressive. I may actually buy one of these. Features that impressed me the most are:

- Free Xbox Live weekends * (especially that it's available on Silver! Awesome idea!!)
- Skill level matchmaking
- Custom playlist in every game * #

And on the specs:
2. All games supported at 16:9, 720p and 1080i, anti-aliasing (I **REALLY** hope Nintendo follows suit. Their current "new-technology" support is a joke!)
5. Support for 4 wireless controllers (Here's a perfect example of how Nintendo influenced the industry with the Wavebird. Wireless controllers better be standard on all 3 consoles).

edit I noticed that those specs are lacking what I think was already confirmed: HD-DVD support. Hmmmmmmm...

At least they made it a hell of a lot smaller than the XBOX and likely purposly smaller than the PS2 so that people stop making fun of it :haha:

Leaked info ends up in a Game Reactor Magazine!

According to the new details:

- European release one week after the US
- Japanese release in December
- It’ll be out in less than 6 months (i.e. before November)
- Halo 3 slated for 2005 release (HIGHLY doubt this)
- The two types of Xbox Live appear to be correct
- The X button in the middle of the contoller is used for Xbox Live and displays your controller number (1-4)
- [Translated] “You will be able to transfer stuff from an iPod.”
- USB-recharging of the controller batteries (NOW WE'RE TALKING. THIS IS THE KIND OF THAT GETS ME EXCITED.)
- Release titles include: Perfect Dark Zero, PGR3 (Ghost Recon), and Kameo
