| well i just watched the thing from mtv and my god was it . almost had to turn it off it was doing my in lol. some of the games looked pretty cool tho fair play. |

| the new unreal engine 3?? thats what is being used in almost all the games being developed for the 360... and you most likley saw shots of unreal 2007 (which does look unreal, imo)... same engine being used in for xbox360;) |

It was screens of UT2007 that I saw. It showed them compared to the current engine (the one from UT2005) and wow, I cream myself just thinking about how realistic the games are going to be.
So as far as how the 360 is being made, will it likely have many of the same features when modded as the XBOX did? |

For first person shooters, PC remains king but otherwise who cares? Are better graphics going to mean a better game? I'd rather have the developer spend an extra month on a game fixing it's problems and making it a more enjoyable experience than twiddling his thumbs and saying "hmmm how can we make this surpass all other games with neato graphics".
I understand where you're coming from but the reason PS2 and XBOX are household names is because of the games. I still play SNES games for gods sakes, and I prefer SNES games over most PC games. Had they sat on their asses worrying about making Link's sword shinier instead of making it a wicked game I might not be playing the game now. |

You know how much of a modding fanbase the XBOX has? I think that a lot of the people who keep the XBOX alive are the ones that know what it's capable of and mod it. I know some people who own two or three of them just because they've custom made a few, can't say that for PS2.
The modding fanbase is gonna move right on over to the 360 and just like before it's going to surpass Sonys powerless system. The XBOX rides on being more powerful, not having better graphics. I don't give a about graphics and I'm glad I bought an XBOX over a PS2, even though PS2 was cheaper at the time. |

| So far all the Xbox 360 screens have been fairly disappointing in my opinion. I want a true next-generation console. I like all the features of it, but I want some games that really justify the purchase! |
