about vip tix, if you have the $$ its always a better choice.. |
ehhh....I got VIP tickets to PVD's show at Liquid. I felt like I had been ripped off. Okay yeah..you could go behind the stage, where there was no sound, you didn't get to meet Paul anymore than the regular ticketholders, and the drink prices were still the same.
I only went back there to cool off since the place was overpacked but other than that VIP was overrated...mainly since there was no additional sound system back there and you could only feel the vibe if you were out on the floor.

well Im not expecting to meet him or be backstage.
Ive seen the stage for Okie..pretty sad actually
maybe 10ft deep.. Heh..if you want to talk to Paul
stay after and see if they allow him to sign records and
flyers.. Hes shy tho. Ive talked to him briefly at LA's Mayan
Guess VIP gets up roof top bar and a view. No biggy
I hope they do the sound and lighting right tho. |

If you want to be on a balcony on top of the Lizard Lounge that isn't crowded and overlooks the crwd in the parking lot, get VIP Tickets.
edit: assuming it's outside |

| I'd rather be in the middle of the crowd where the madness is at. I'm just hopin Dallas aint as humid outside as Houston is...cuz even at night it feels like a sauna here during the summer :/ |

Hey you guys,
Anybody from Fort Worth going that could give a ride to a fellow tranceaddict/PvD-aholic...would be greatly appreciated, I could pay for gas to/from Dallas. I was planning on going alone (which I'd rather go with a group), but I just had my car in the shop and they said the whole rearend of the vehicle is going out...about an $1200 repair (which I don't have the cash for now)...they recommended no long trips to Dallas or the such. I live in the west side of the city, near the cultural district.
I'd greatly appreciate it, cause I am really hoping to catch this show...I also have a complete set of the 4-hour PvD Berlin Masters series from May, would be my gift to you...please give me a shout if you could help me out.
Thanks,
Ward |

speaking of parking, if anyone wants to give me a ride, i'm down :) (i live in carrollton)
and about the VIP stuff... i would have to agree with matthias... in the middle of the mass is the only way to see PvD. it's always a kick ass set with a kick ass crowd. the emotion and atmosphere on the dance floor is unreal :) and i plan to take in as much of it as possible. |

Here's my honest two cents, and I aint gonna bull anyone. Back in 2000-2001, when I started partying and I was under the influence of certain things besides the music...I did not mind being in the middle of crowds in rooms the felt like a summer day in houston at 1PM. Nowadays I can only stand to be in a crowded venue if the vibe is really going the hell off...and honestly out of all the DJs of all the genres I have seen so far Paul van Dyk's been the only one to do it each and every time. Tiesto and Armin or anyone else that gets the place packed I might be in the middle for a lil bit but then find a place overlooking the crowd to dance from.
The only exception was when Tiesto played at Club Space, but that's because that venue has this dry ice air jet system that cooled the place down to 60 degrees just about and the place was packed with teh craziest party people from all over the planet...rather than half party people half julios. That and Tijs played 10,000 times better than I've ever seen him play.
But yeah PvD...the main reason I go on and on about the mofo is that each and every time he gets the room jumping from start to finish. Hell he got my brother to dance in Dallas and that guy NEVER budged to anyone's set before haha. Yeah its goona be a good weekend... |
