Damn guys, this was a good one!

Bonham and PVD rocked out all night, and I definitely enjoyed being outside!

I brought some first-timers with me and they had a blast.

Does anyone know who the DJ was inside while Bonham was spinning? Girl with white hair... she was really kicking ass in there.

Thanks for the IDs guys. I got some really great pics, but my camera is acting funny... I'll try to post em later this wk.

that was a long fckin drive, but so absolutely worth it... Glad everyone made it back safely. I probably shouldn't complain seeing as how the Houston and SA peeps were on the road for way longer.

As for my friends, I think I've got two new tranceaddicts on my hands, but hey PVD will do that to ya :toocool:

Did anyone else see the big video camera on a stick last night? That would be sweet if there was a professional taping of the show... some other dude had a camcorder on all night. You can see him in the video that WardC posted... anyone got any connections?

For what its worthh here's my review:

To sum it up I had a great time and it was awesome seeing the TAs that could make it as well as some people I havent seen since Nu NRG in Austin. It was the first time my sis got to attend and she absolutely loved it. For four years she had to hear about my 9 previous times getting to see Paul play and not being able to go, so her getting to experience it made the night what it was for me. She got the Vandit shirt I bought for her at Liquid signed so that was cool.

As far as his set. I heard a few tracks I didnt recognize, but 90% of the songs I heard in Miami when he played at Space and Ultra, and 5 or 6 of them I have used in the mixes Ive made.:D I can't really complain as they were good tracks... there somthing about that damn edit of Dark Roast that gets me everytime:tongue2 but yeah, not enough new ones I suppose. Hearing Animacion was a pleasant surprise as I have never attended a live set where he played it, although I wouldn't mind hearing him drop one of his older classics from Out There and Back.

The stage lighting was okay...I expected alot more for a PvD show, at least some lasers/lighting...guess Ultra really did spoil me. I will say that the video displays were a nice touch and made up for the said shortcomings in the lighting. There was a spotlight to the left of the decks thatwas pointed directly where I was standing...for reason whatsoever. Thankfully it wasnt on for too long.. :/

I wasn't blown away this time by Paul's set like I had been at CLub Space, but it doesn't mean I didn't have a great time. He's never really let me down and I felt all the money I dropped on my bro and sis to go as well was well worth it. Hopefully they find it in their hearts to pay me back but we'll see :whip: :)

this was my first outdoor event since Frequency Clear back in April 2001. Had a in blast outdoors, but yea, most of these tracks he spun in recent sets of course. surprised he didnt drop Alive or Say Hello.

From Bonham's set theres was only one tune I ID'ed.

Stereo MC's - Connected, I really wish I knew what remix it was because apparently it was dope.

Ward...

Thanks!!! for posting your clips. since I didnt make it I was wondering how it all looked. Yes basic and sometimes I have found the videos playing all nite can be distracting itself but still better than nothing. Too bad the promoters dont want to spend more money
in the budget doing it right. Ive helped work with Giant Los Angeles back in 2002/03 setting up the shows at ParkPlaza and HAC plus 2 nye gigs. Guess its just budgets and creativity.

I think that big Sony HD camera up on the stick that was being waved around was catching footage for an upcoming PVD CD/DVD combo with footage from the TPOD 2 tour...like a "Global 2" or something like that...I believe that guy was with the Paul van Dyk crew...keep your eyes peeled because you may find yourself on a DVD in the future.

Wow, that'd be freakin crazy... but Global has footage from Tokyo, SF, NY, Berlin, etc... Somehow I don't see Dallas fitting on that list ;)
