i attribute that to the fact that paul van dyk is the only dj i've ever seem live that seems to care about what the crowd is doing... he watches, and if the crowd is getting tired of jumping around, he'll bring it down and let people chill.. then once the emotion has built up again he gets you right back up jumping with the rest of the crowd. he does what you do in your sets, he give you an emotional pathway or vibe to follow. that man is a genius that truly cares about the people he plays for.
I've seen tiesto and oakenfold (plan to see armin next month) and neither one seemed to care. Even moreso, tiesto's beatmatching was piss-poor, and i'm more than certain that oakey's set was prerecorded (coreographed video to follow the set exactly, and he spent a good 5 seconds matching for every 5 minutes he was signing autographs).
Anyway, i just wanted to say i fully support what you said. Paul is the reason i bought turntables. He still is the most passionate DJ i've ever seen live. |

| Hi just arrived in Dallas after a long drive from el paso. We are thinking of going to this. Anyone knows how much tickets are and till how late it goes on? |

I've done that El Paso drive, & it is long. If I wasn't in Atlanta, I'd be at that show, so go for me :)
Show should go til 3 AM. Not sure how much tickets are at the door. |

I knocked myself out of wack yesterday on a seadoo so I couldnt make it.
Pissed but what can I say.
Any comments on sound and lighting & vibe? Im wonder for the 3hrs he was supposed to play if it was like his cream set. |

| It was supposed to be broadcast.. so I recorded while I was out of town all the time (8 hours) and NONE of it is PVD. They ing lied :/ |

It was great to finally meet everyone...I had a spectacular time...I really think this will be the last time I am going out to anything like this for awhile, I'm sorta feel like I'm getting too old for this stuff now, lol...and I'm not really crazy about that area of Dallas either...not my ideal place to throw a party like this...next time they should bring Paul van Dyk to Starplex or American Airlines center and have a crowd of 40,000 at $20 a ticket. Maybe in a couple years that could happen...

| I must say that PvD was much better than I expected. It was so badass when he played For An Angel at the end. I drove all the way from Lubbock so I don't get to see that kind of stuff very often. The trip was well worth it though. I just hope Armin will be just as good next month. |
