i can't remember the first time i listened to trance...Everyday I heard at ads some weird music and I didn't know what it was.
First time I learned about trance was when my friend gave me holymen - last universe and told me that it was techno.With a little search I found TA.com and here I am now.;) |

It was in 1991 or 1992 when I first heard EDM. It was when my brother was playing his new turn-up-the-bass cd or tape. It later grew into thunderdome cds, a bit happy hardcore, gabber.
This was until I played Ferry Corstens Innercity cd when he played Airwave. :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: Ok, I heard other trance tracks like Children but Airwave was the first one who gave me a real trance shiver. |

| I cant remember the first time I actually HEARD trance or any type of electronic mjusic but i remember that the first song that i really liked was called Carlos - The Silmarilia... It's this old song with a flute in it hahah it kicked ass! :D |

I have always liked EDM and but when I really started to care about what I was listening to was when I first heard Silent Harmony - Save the whales..
And that was around uhmm :eyes: ..1998?? My taste has changed a bit since then though :p |

| Children and It's A Fine day where played out huge by a local radio station in Johanessburg where I grew up. I loved them, and my sister bought a couple of Rave CDs, but I never realy got into it, was still in my Nirvana/Offspring/Metallica phase. Then after I moved to Canada, a couple of my older friends were into trance, and one of them lent me his gatecrasher and mos cds. Haven't look back since. |

when i was 5 and i was at my uncles place, my perents used to drop me off at his house when they would work 6 days a week, he didnt have a TV, only a stereo, a couch and a couple cds. first thing i heard was Futurhythm - Transmanic. i liked that track so much i asked him to make tape for me with music like that. had a lot of good tunes and one of them was World full of Djs, which was the first PvD track i heard. i still have the tape and theres this song that was on it, and i dont know the name cause it might be too old.

ya so anyways i didnt know what this type of music was called until 13 years old, you know with the internet and napster and all. my uncle just simply called it dance. |
