thats been my point all along... meanwhile in canada we will probably just re-elect him.

I dont advocate violence but we should at least make some sort of noise in the form of protests or general strikes when the government rips us off. At the very least vote them out of office.

I think I rather pay the extra 25 cents.
I cant beleive people bitch about TTC fares increasing.
But when it comes to review time at their jobs, then what?

Try car payments, maintenance, insurance, parking, gas @ $.90+ a f**king litre .. then talk to me!!!

To us, bus fare is a small part of our lives. A tiny chunk of our paycheck. To them in Nicaragua, bus fare is a significant part of their earnings, and it's an essential tool of life. Since they earn so much less than we do, a bus fare raise hits them ALOT harder.

Some countries just cannot operate with privatized services. You would think that some countries would be MUCH better off with a system like Cuba.

Bull... it probably costs 10 cents to ride a bus there. They earn less than we do (in canadian dollars) but things are much less expensive including rent and costs of living.

You cant measure their income against our costs of living.
