they also try to be original and dare to do new stuff

Here here as far as dance music is concerned. That's looked down upon around here, though, as evidenced by the poll. :(

pffft asif, only like 7 ppl have voted hybrid ... SEVEN !!!

Ferry Corsten made some really outstanding tunes in between 1999-2002. That's probably why I picked him, But I would have liked to pick Vincent de Moor over Ferr though. Hybrid - Also good , But I enjoyed and still enjoy Ferr's productions more.

I certainly wouldnt label tiesto as best producer, people like bt are leagues ahead. imo of course :D

Thank eff Sasha isn't pulling more than WOW...Sasha rides the coattails of others (Charlie May being the primary) far too often to be given such credit.

Yeah i dunno, i thought by now tiesto would have had maybe 3 or 4 votes or something at most but what do i know ...

Anywho, I was really hoping hybrid would've gotten loads more votes ... *hint* *hint* ... and yeah, WoW are unbelievable at production so its no wonder they have so many fans

My favorites are Fred Baker, Randy Katana and Paul Van God.

I just read the posts from the start.
How can anyone slag BT, Oakenfold and Sasha?
Tiesto14 is blatantly not with it. probably thinks the world revolves around Tiesto, sucked in by the worlds "best" DJ tag. Think best PR campaign!
BT is one of the best producers in dance music ever! He's done it all, maybe he doesn't make tunes like he used to, but over a career as long as his, you've got to change. He now does other production stuff away from dance music, so he's actually technically a far better producer now than he's ever been. The production world doesn't stop at dance music! Has-been? I don't think so. Just changed from his old sound.
Oakenfold is a legend. Calling him joke or whatever shows a lack of intelligence, respect and knowledge. if it wasn't for him and his mates and THAT trip, there would be no trance as you know it now, and probably no Tiesto, who incidentally, Oaky gave a huge break to, by saying he was the next best thing when NOBODY had heard of him. So grow up! Go for the early stuff on Perfecto. And he produced The Happy Mondays legendary 1st album (helped invent ANOTHER genre), remixing U2 when NOBODY got to remix U2 etc. Joke? I think not. When Tiesto has done stuff like that let me know.
Sasha, just listen to his early tunes. Be As One is possibly the best trance tune ever, or one of them anyway. Again, show some respect.
Ok, co-production alot of it maybe, but so what? Not many do it all by themselves, no matter what is written on the label! or at least were co-producers in the beginning.

I think the problem with a poll like this, is that its on a trance forum. I mean chemical bros should be way up there, whether you like their music or not, you have to admire the quality and number of hits they've had, far more than any trance producer.
Its just a bit biased I think here.

Out of that list, Hybrid are by far the best.

Scoops
G&D
Luke Chable
Matt Dekay

Come on now, Jokenfold hasn't done as much as you think...you should be thanking the true brains behind much of his work, like Osbourne and Andy Gray, the true producers who are overshadowed by a media whore like Oakenfold. He may have had it as a DJ in the past but he stopped being interesting long ago.

BT, well, I still say you're only as good as your last record and since that *was* the Monster film soundtrack, I suppose he has regained some of his lost credibility...but Emotional Technology was utterly sickening...overproduced, boy band-drenched fluff with perhaps a few exceptions.

Please. That's crazy talk...so they can incorporate strings into their production. Let's have a world conference!
