If by those you mean Tiesto and Corsten, then I would agree. ;) I think BT has disappeared on the credibility radar in recent years, which might reflect in the poll results. The other artist who is ranked above BT has been at it since BT collectively and potentially longer individually, doing just as much to shape the sound of progressive (and breaks) as we know it today.

woot, if we can get WOW to overcome 2nd place (Tiesth0) here, I'll call it a miracle!

With the whole BT thing, i'm a huge fan of his work and even tho some of his latest productions haven't been up to scratch, you gotta give the man big ups.

With tracks like Flaming June and never gonna come back down, which nearly anyone whose into any sort of electronic music would recognize to other sutff which i'm not so sure os many ppl know about like Running Down The way up, Giving up the Ghost and Lullaby For gaia.

He's one of the few guys i wanna end up seeing purely to get an insight into what he qualifies as a good tune and to get an understanding of whree he's coming from with his music

His live PAs in the good ole' days ('99 and prior) were stellar. However, I can't vouch for his laptop symphony and most performances of the like since then. You can always bet you'll hear the Evolution mix of "Dreaming" in one of his sets. ;) There are moments of brilliance that hearken back to his prior period but he's not what he used to be, sadly.

BT = hasbeen?

na. sorry but i saw him in october, live, and it was nothing short of explosive. he was just about causing hard attacks left right & centre.

one of the best sets this year.

hard attacks ?
Like hard ons ?
vinnie97
heh.

I'm not convinced...witnessing the mediocre "laptop symphony" in 2003 was enough to deflate the hype for good.

I def. go for BT. He is cleary the most diverse and delve's into more areas of production, programming, sound design, the list goes on. I bet dollars to donuts tiesto doesnt sit at keyboard and jam out chords,,, he can barley mix on turntbales sometimees. BT is a vocalist, excellent pianist and guitarist, and his list to movie scores is growing too. Somnabulist which he did is in the record books for most edits in a song, just on the lead vocal alone, 6,178. I just dont think a lot of people appreciate waht he does/.

There's a point when trying to be a technical genius becomes overkill and the music loses its soul. I can never let myself be impressed by some technical feats and trickery when the soul of the music itself is lacking. BT's certainly talented and he dabbles in many things, but that doesn't make him excel at any one thing.

PS. I admit to liking the new Oasis too.:o
