My goodness, I wasn't there but that stolen $ compels me to post. I'm sure efforts are being made that aren't being posted here, but I wonder where the box was located...wouldn't the thief have to be someone who has access to the money? Was it some cardboard box or something in a dark corner? Someone HAD to see something...are the other boards also doing something about it?
This makes me angry. LKD hurry up with that PayPal account...your idea so DO IT...I've organized a charity event in uni where the $ was stolen too and so I want to go medieval right now...:whip: |

Really great night! I loved the atmosphere of the place, very "cosy", probably because i knew a lot of the people there :D
So nice to meet naesean, disko-kandi, voodoo child, che, gavin, b4k-oz and her husband, richard raiban, aaron mossey and heidi (if i forgot you i'm sorry! I'm not especially good with names :()

well i had a fun night, had a lot to drink throughout the night,, felt like absolute crap this morning! or ,, this afternoon....
but i did have fun last ngiht... good seeing everyone, and hearing everyone spin, really diggin what rich was spinning, matt and arron too,
as for the money thing,, i heard about it when i was leavining the club,
and i dont know how anyone could have done it or got away with it...
didnt anyone see who it was or ,, notice it was being stolen? the person M was getting the coat for,, i mean he/ she had to have seen them,, or like, they coulda been running out the door? i dont know, i really hope someone remembers something, to help try to get this person.
or hopefully this asswipe turns the money back in to M and S
$800 , thats, 80 people that paid cover... which is a pretty good amount of the ppl that were there last night...
and i mean, for me 10$ is a lot to pay to get into a club, and i only paid it because it was going to a good cause, i'm poor!
i really hope this person has the balls to at least turn in some of the money if any! because the ppl that the money was supposed to be going to, deserve it a lot more and i hope this greedy person realizes it and gets their head out of their ass.

THIS NIGHT WAS SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Talk about TOTA-fest.......were there actually people from the other MSG boards there??????? LOL!!!
So many TOTA's and still did not have a chance to meet everyone :sadgreen:
Started the night off at Dallas' for a couple of drinks and some smokeages......so I was in KICKED up mode when I got to the club (thanks D-babe!!! ;) )
I had never been to MADBAR before (a bit small) but perfect for the numbers that came to celebrate our HOMEGROWNS!
Richard/Gamma - wickid sets you 2!!!!! and the 2 guys who came on afterwords.....wickid track selection everyone and some nice mixing techniques....it all sounded WICKID!!!!!! Lord knows I wouldn't stop yelling/shut up!!!! LOL!!! MUCH RESPECT!!!
Once again the night flew by..............(major sign of a good time had.!!).....soo many people I wanted to talk with and meet - continue convos from Friday....etc........
MAGIKB (where's my monkey!!!!) - HOLY FAACK!!!!!! DANCE DANCE DANCE!!!!!! We were freakin' out eh???? LOL!!!! ;) I was tapping into the vibes from SCUMFROG the evening before.......I was hardcore dancin that night too........TALL PAUL woulda killed me sorry I coulda follow you on and NAT............and you better be up front next time bustin it out with me CRAZY CASSIDY!! :crazy: and that goes to all the other fine dancers out there too! REPRESENT!!!!!!!
Dallas - sorry ya didn't stay longer.....lots-o-opporunities to kick it in the near future - ya know it!!!!
tha_broad....Christina - you are in' hilarious.......always a good time partying/dancing with you........loved the Kilt/skirt you FLIRT!!!!! LOL!!!!

I had a really great time seeing everyone and hearing the great tunes that both the main room and upstairs DJ's were playing. You guys really brought your best game!
****Sally and Michael- you guys did an amazing job, you are truly special people who are so conscious of helping oher people in the world- you guys inapire the rest of us to live more altruistic lives! I think so highly of you both, it's hard to expressit fully in a post.
it makes me really sad that there was someone there among us last night who could so something so unconscionable as to take funds raised to help people who have been devastated by disaster. I know that TOTA are amazing and creative people and we can rise above this to somehow replace those funds! |

I'd be up for supporting another such event, and even paying double for it. It's a real good cause, and some people really don't realize how fortunate we all are here in Toronto. And besides, you won't be able to find better block rockin beats anywhere else! :)
The boat cruise idea would be fun, just not sure how much the Captain Matthew Flinders and such would costs to rent out for an evening.
EDIT: I realize that not everyone is able to easily come up with cover due to many many other financial commitments and responsibilities. Maybe something like a suggested donation type thing would work. |
