I've been to a bunch, mostly because I thought it'd be cool to tag along with my dad to see people he liked.

- Tom Petty (when I was like, four)
- Bruce Springsteen (five or six times)
- Roy Orbison
- Simon & Garfunkel (or maybe it was just Simon)
- John Fogerty
- , I can't remember his name and now it's going to kill me :whip:
- Moby (listed here only because his recent tour was rock-oriented)

My dad actually came to Moby with me, because he figured he'd go with me after I'd gone with him.

there's this one song he does... whats it called
the luckiest!
its a really simple but powerful piano part, just mostly chords
and on the recording there's a chorus of aaah's that goes like, say its in the key of C major, EEEEEE F GGGGGGGGG (each one's a held quarter note or w/e)
and so before the song, he stands up and is like i know this song, but i need you to help me out
ok all the people in the audience with low voices, sing this after me
and he sings the EFG part, real simple
then all the deep voices in the audience do it
then he does the same thing with people with midrange voices
then gets all the people with high voices
so its everyone singing just one note on 3 octaves in unison
every single person in the entire place, and this is just a small theatre-ish venue at a local college, amazing acoustics that reverberate like crazy
so nearing the end of the song he signals for everyone do to that
and he goes for like 30 seconds just banging on the piano and everyone singing along loudly, its already pretty amazing
then he just stops on the piano and like conducts the audience for one time
then stands on the piano bench, and does it again
then he jumps on top of the piano, and has everyone do it one last time, but he has everyone hold that last note for like 15 seconds
and for those 15 seconds, everyone in the audience in this auditorium was holding the same note and it seriously was like a religious experience, it was absolutely mindblowing
and he signaled for everyone to stop and ran off stage
and then of course came on for encores
but ....that one song was ing AMAZING

Lets see here...

Living in Colorado we have one of the best natural ampitheaters around in Red Rocks, there's nothing like seeing a concert (or rave for that matter) at that venue.

I've seen Incubus (one can actually see me in the alive @ red rocks dvd if you look closely and know where to look), 311 and Deftones there.

So total concerts

Incubus (5 times, fav band so that sums that up, im jealous of lucid being able to go to that concert in nyc, I've heard so many stories about that show)
311 (3 times, as lucid said always a great energetic performance)
Deftones(3 times) Chino has such a presence that its insane, great in band, so underrated imo
STP I forgot who said this earlier, but I'm so lucky that I got to see these guys live. Weiland is such a showman, and they played all their older/earlier/better songs.
Staind 2/3 times Aaron Lewis has one hell of a range with his voice, from primal rage scream to beautiful singing. Still never heard em play "Raw" live, which is one of my favs of theirs, but "Spleen" owns everytime.

it i'll just list the rest lol

lets see ozzfest '01 for papa roach, linkin park, lame ass crazytown (they were being boo'd constantly, and they kept sayin like "you're just mad coz we'll your girlfriends later" real original), slipknot (in crazy) manson, black sabbath, disturbed and mudvayne.

Warped Tour '97 was the first concert I ever went to, that was crazy coz i didnt know any of the bands, it was just to go and hang out w/ people. Pennywise was there, and so were the vandals, thats about all I remember lol. I do know a girl we went w/ went onto the vandals bus for like an hr tho, while her bf was out with us freaking out (rightfully so, god only knows what went on in there, she was hot, but also denied anything happening, yeah right)

thats all i can recall for now, i know for a fact there are more...

*Edit* lol i remember more now

KTCL's (a local radio station here in denver) Big Adventure.
311
Incubus
Long Beach Dub All-Stars (sublime minus brad)
Goldfinger
among others

Lollapalooza '03
Jane's Addiction
Audioslave
Incubus
Queens of the Stone Age
Jurassic 5

edit again

Green Day, Blink and Jimmy Eat World

this was pre-american idiot and Green Day still totally in stole the show even tho blink were the "headliners" so much energy

i want to see a concert at Red Rocks so badly. that place just looks amazing. i remember watching the Hybrid DVD, i think, and they had a lot of footage of when they played there with Moby.

lol and last weekend i was stoned and flipping through channels and somehow ended up watching 20 min of John Tesh Live @ Red Rocks. it was utterly horrible.
