| I don't think some of you are reading the topic title here. There is nothing decent about Armin's mixing at all, so what place does he have here in this thread? Yes you might like the records he churns out, or his productions, but his 'wait 64 beats, cue, wait another 32 beats, fade in, fade out ' approach to mixing is more boring than watching paint dry. |

is that all you really do, honestly? Just talk about what people like? This is opinion based, and rather than just talk about other people's opinion the entire time why not actually contribute. Admittedly, you named a set, but other than that it's all been complete bull. I think you're just trying to turn this thread into a non-stop argument. :o |

ferry corsten -innercity 2000 many classics as well , chakara, solarstone, rank 1 ... also rosenmontags set where he drops tony walker fields of joy...
mixing wise hmmm Dave seaman is pretty amazing but i dont know if you would find his style "uplifting"
im really digging this classic at the moment

| oh , you said uplifting trance. God damn, I'm ignorant. I wasnt thinking trance. Ok, you dont want garnier...hahaha...garnier doing trance...you want...Tsuyoshi Suzuki or something...his mix albums had energy...but I guess uplifting. This uplifting trance serves no real purpose, because dance music shouldnt be uplifting. If you want to be spiritually ed, listen to ambient for gods sake. |

Oh off, read over what I put again. I said the playlist side of things was all about opinion, and that's fair enough if that's your cup of tea. But the mixing skills of a DJ is factual, and Armin's is crap. |
