Granted not many at all, but I think Armin is the pick of the bunch here because you can listen to a set of his with say 12 tracks and there will be 12 identical transitions. Although there is not much room for creativity with this field of music, I think you'd be hard done by to find someone more boring than Armin. And on the subject of Sasha & Digweed, I don't rate Digweed at all, but Sasha's mixing is one of the tightest in the business regardless of how much 'easier' it may be to mix the records that he chooses.

i gotta agree with you on this.. the last time i saw armin i was bored the entire set through.

the one positive thing about armin i can say is that he's consistent. i don't think i've ever heard him trainwreck or do sharp untidy volume changes/fader slams like tiesto or oakenfold etc. other than that though i pretty much agree with mike... there's nothing *interesting* about his mixing at all really, from what i've heard of it. |
true, but i think that consistency is a requirement for a professional dj. every pro dj should be consistent. |

I have that epic PvD @ Energy 2003 (got it from TA too :D )
Fantastic set, 9/10 for me. Mixing was great though it sounded a tad rushed at points... like he was just hurrying to get it done. |

are you a moron?
blackface was what white actors did in the early 1900s to portray black people in plays...its now considered derrogatory and racist for anyone to do blackface
from the looks of his avatar he looks like some white boy with black face on...how does that imply i have a problem with black people? now off cracker |

i can't remember what the mixing was like, but ferry corsten @ trance energy 1999 was one of my favourite sets from back then
and i'd argue that this set is pretty uplifting with good mixing (except towards the end where i was arguing to play more tunes):
