Can't beat-match with Traktor DJ Studio

Hello guys ,

I have a really big problem here.I have the latest Traktor 2.6 and in aprox 90% of the cases I can't beatmatch the tracks.I sync the bpm exactly the same for the both tracks and when I crossfade it sounds good for 3-4 seconds and then BOOOOOF , it sounds like ,the tracks are completely desyncronized.
With some tracks I can do it perfectly but as I said in 90% I can't.

Do you think that happens because I have a rubbish soundcard??
I have a very basic integrated AC 97 soundcard and it is not very good.
Everywhere is said that Traktor is the best DJ tool of this planet but I can't do anything with it.

Do you know other good Dj software [professional software]for computer Dj's?? I heard that with Ableton you can make fantastic mix stes but I don't know how. Can I use Ableton without a Midi controler or something like that ??

Thanks !!!!

virtual dj does that for me if i have like only 512 of ram, when i put in atlest one gig, its perfect.

you can check any kind of information on your pc.

No the reason it isn't working is because the "autosync" button on Traktor is not exact. Even if it shows them as having the same bpm, it isn't EXACT and so the beats will start to drift a little after a few bars.

Either you beatmatch manually using the cue function, or you will have to correct on the fly using the pitch bend button.....

Maybe try some Real DJ Gear, and then you might get a REAL beatmatch

There's probably nothing wrong with your computer.. I beatmatched fine with it with my old 500mhz celeron :p
Try adjusting the BPM manually instead of using the auto sync...

I have 3 technics turntables and a DN-X1500 thanks, i just wanted to see what it was like on the program. Is there a problem with that?

Yes you can but it is incredibly painful to mix with a keyboard and mouse!

:haha: if you right click the +/- pitch button it increments the pitch by .xxx whih will help you get the two tracks matched exactly. use this and the pitch bend buttons and you should be good.

thats what i love about virtual dj, there is skins that get rid of all that auto crap and waveforms... have not seen skins like that in traktor yet.

The other thing is that you can have two tracks at the same tempo but they still will not match up if the beats aren't synched up right (one track is slightly ahead of the second one). This is why you see DJs touching the record to speed it up or slow it down. This can be done using Traktor with the pitch bend button but it's not very precise so it's hard to get good results.
