Maybe we are not here at all :) Maybe we all live in some sick dream of one person or something... Wouldn't that be weird? Or maybe we think we are alive while your life until now has been one big dream, and you have yet to wake up :eyespop: Hell, I find this so interesting.

It just amazes me what we are.
We can understand text, and audio, and images all of this. We have this body that lets us move...it just blows my ing mind.
I don't think we will ever know the answer on why we exist...but I was wondering what some other people's outlooks were. |
I'd agree that we'll never know, but I'd say it is because there is no reason, we are just another part of the universe and complex reaction, as are text and so on.
We exist on an atomic level and nothing more (higher level abstractions occur because of the lower level interactions). |

Intresting, I never thought of it like that. |

I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think we'll be finding an answer anytime soon.

To pass on our genes.
Procreation is the force that drives us to do the things we do. |

If we exist to reproduce and create offspring that will in turn reproduce, then why does this endless chain exist to begin with? It's simply a reaction of nature. People look too hard for purpose where there isn't any.
Why do we exist? - Why not? |

have any of you looked through a dead person's brain.
I dunno how that relates to the topic at hand, but its a pretty sweet experience knowing wtf is in your head and wtf it does. |

Very true. The only reason we look for a reason is because we have become what we think is an intelligent species--for all we know, we could have the intelligence of a rock if another species in the universe existed.
Now think about that for a second. |

| We exist for the same reason that any other phenomenon exists: because it follows from preceding phenomena. |
