Im suprised noone has posted yet. Stayed right to the end. Dennis kicked ass as per usual.

Walter - amazing opening set. If you didn't have a "life" you could be something ya know that ;) hahaha. Screw this running a club and family job, go be an "internation", ill take the wife and job ;) hahahah

0S/2 - Some nice sounds, good hard feel

Judge Jules - Some nice tracks, Kinda dissipoined in the selection though. All the edits were very nice but some tracks just wern't popular with the crowd. Left overall feeling a little jipped in the end. As a person, one of the nicest guys around. The interview went well and he is just an amazing person.

Fergie - well guess it was too cold for him or something, he just didn't get on the plane to come to canada so. Boo-urns to him. Those that came were atleast treated to some hard stuff from Jules, Hahn and OS2

Dennis - Well from what i heard through the wall's you were banging it out. Solid as per usual and definatly should be a little earlier in the night. the headphone's / car issue...ick :S

Republik it self was very open. not too bad temp wise, not TOO sketchy, though some of the destiny kiddy's were out and dealing. Still have yet to find a club with nicer bouncers and staff.

TA's, made the night as always. love meeting the new ones and catching up with the old. Who knows when im in town but hope to see you all out MXC night a the vault on the 2nd.

Oh, and much respect to Ari and Del with the interview arrangement. It will be up in a day or so to download

wish i coulda stayed longer...was lovin' what Dennis was throwing down. went from being on the fringes to upfront as soon as he dropped it. (Hope the rest of your set had the audience arrested, Dennis...you were reading them their rights as i left ;)).

Nice t'see a few of ya...Barry, Andrew...think i saw Karen but was too shy to say hi...sorry :(..next time f'sure :)

club is tres impressive...really would love to catch Antoine Clamaran there on 4 June.

I was there for about an hour or 2 and all I can is " I ING hate all ages parties!!". There were so many cracked out and ugly kids running around last night and the atmosphere in the place reflected this. After being in there for a total of 10 mins i wanted to leave. Then when I heard fergie was not going to be there I was like "ing hell!". He was probably the only reason why I risked going to an all ages event and now he is not even in here. Having already paid some 20 bucks to get in thouhg i was like "well might as well enjoy jules and get some of monies worth". Jules was pretty good he dropped alot of new stuff all petty much on the harder side. I am supposing this was to make up for the absence of fergie.

That aside there were two many
1) stupid raver kids running around in the florecent orange pants, tank tops and visors.

2) At least several really old people ( the one old fat guy with the pony tail and beard. I remember seeing him at parties way back in 2000 and was always sorta turned off by the whole thing. Seeing him there last night and also one of the first people that i saw in there did not make for a good start.

3) This could be a good thing or bad thing but...to many cute looking little girls. Tonnes but...you have to wonder about thier age which does make for a frustrating situation.

4)To many freaky first time people ever going out to a electronic music event. As evidenced by an abundance of glow sticks, awful dancers and people getting way to fricken high!

At about 2:30 we had enough and went to Boa to hear frankie nuckles and david morales. Which was about 100X more fun.

but...that is a story for another thread.

I am just glad that we got hooked up and only had to pay 20 bucks to get in. Had i paid 40 for that bull i would of freaked.

I have an issue with the accuracy of this review.

I for one had a really good time, and almost didn't come. I'm glad I did. At first it was a bit empty, but then filled up perfectly with still plenty room to dance. Most people seemed to really be into the music and having a good time dancing.

OS/2 - Started a bit questionable but got better. The beginning of his set seemed to lack some flow because every time it got me ready to dance he music suddenly took a different direction. By the end it got a bit harder, more steady and was quite enjoyable.

Judge Jules - Liked his set overall but I think he spent some time fishing for what the crowd was into. A few mistakes but also some really interesting mixing. I was dancing through almost the entire thing, so really that's all that matters to me.

Republik: So there are some interesting lighing features there but I was not impressed with the staff. The door man inside was particularly rude (nice way to encourage new business). On top of this, he watched me check my coat and then AFTER I was done and I was ready to go inside he decided to tell me is wasn't ok for me to have a purse/bag. Why? I don't know, and keep in mind he was only 2 feet away from me when I checked my coat so why didn't he say something in the first place.

Glad I came out, nice to see all the TAs thanks for making it an even better night.

oh, but what do I know, I think I may have classified as a stupid ugly (yet also cute little girl at the same time because there were too many of us) raver kid running around in my bright tank top and beads. I liked saying hi to some of those kids that I know, who are turning 21.

Nice venue. Well designed club. Ample room to dance. Crowd was mixed...and i thought it was actually in tune with the music which was definately ravvy to me. Can't say i minded that there were glowsticks and raver kids out...it was hard trance. what do you expet ? :conf:

Music didn't do anything for me...5 years too late i'm afriad. Even Rank 1 - Dreamland didn't get more then a smile, which can only mean i'm way past the whole epic trance thing...Was good for nostalgic reasons. But unfortunately, Republik will never eclipse Twilo nights in my mind. Still, i'd party there again...just so long as there was something other then Hard House/Hard Dance/Hard Trance and Jungle on offer.

The place has potential, and i'm sure with the upcomming events like Clamaran more people will get a chance to check out the spacey club. Lighting was good. Crowd was decent. Lots of chicks. Staff seemed friendly nuff to me, no complaints there. Sound system was nicely tuned as well. Getting from one place to another was pretty easy...good flow of traffic. Nice smokers lounge area with house music playing...unfortunately no one was dancing when i was up there which was a shame. Didn't stay for more then 3 hours so it's unfair to rate all the DJ's...except to say that whatever was being played wasn't my cuppa tea.

Overall, a decent cherry poppin experience. 6 / 10 for me. :)

Good to see some familiar faces. Thanks Del & Ari... :)

Expect to hear good things about Republik...it's definately a club with a bright future. :)

my night stared out pretty decent. for the most part i really like the look of republik and its clear that there is loads of potential. i saw lots of familiar faces and met some new ta's as well. i was having a pretty enjoyable time until jules came on. if i had to describe jules' set in one word..dissapointing....if i could use to words...terrible and dissapointing. i found it to be just a lot of bad bad hard trance. a track here or there was ok, but that just isn't enough for a major overseas headliner to impress me.

overall im still glad i came out. the quality of people i spent my evening with certainly made up for the lack of quality in the music supplied by judge jules.

Really? Because I was in that crowd, and so were many other TAs.

you have too many issues... sorry if the whole crowd wasnt the swedish bikini team + you

Life isnt perfect you know

you wouldnt have lasted 5 minutes in the old days

Jules was ok but honestly i think walter and dennis stole the show...

Too many old and weak tracks from jules. Just shows that headliners arent always the best. People should respect locals more than they do IMO.

Overall i had a great night despite the pounding headache! :)

whatever man. I am not suggesting that I need to hang out with bikini models. However, it is nice to go out and not have to be in a room filled with 15 year olds.
