Retail Value Search Local Listings for This Car $6,985
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history . This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

^^ we need that on paper. and one more from another source.

i wonder if u asked them, if they would send u like an official document saying that

Bri, ask them to fax you whatever it is that they are going by on the value of your car. I wouldn't just take her word for it over the phone. Get a hard copy of what she is talking about.

Usually they pay between trade in value and retail value...somewhere in the middle.

i know for a fact that if your car is above a certain mileage, you can only list ur car as "good" or "fair" condition.

some insurance companies are sneaky bastards. What company do you use?

Im going through mine because it wasn't my fault and I don't want my rates to go up. But the company who hit me has Hartford INS.

I totalled my dad's truck way back and the company tried to low ball him so he got another opinion, they gave him a higher number but was still to low for the real value of the car. He got his own paper work, argued with the company and then they gave him almost what he wanted.

Your gonna have to fight for it and bring your own research.

Also what Bree said about the 2 averages is right so make sure the company has all the right info and possibly any recent photos to show the car in good condition.

Don't settle...what's your insurance company anyway?

Dude, take it from me Brian, I've totalled 3 cars in 3 years...the insurance company deems your car a total loss if the repairs to your car are more than 75% of what the BlueBook value is...and they cut you a check for that amount...which is why you're getting low-balled.

Well they can go off Dave cause im not going to give in. Im sorry you got screwed on your three accidents. Insurance companies are such a rip off. They try and low ball you on the price then they take your car, fix it, and sell it again and make their ing money back.:whip: :whip: :whip:

I have a friend that rolled his M5 at Summit Point, had it towed out to the street, claimed insurance, and then bought his engine back from the company that his insurance company sold it to. :stongue:
