My guess is that he found out what salvage yards bought parts from his Insurance Co. and then called them? I'll have to ask him to know for sure.

I told you. I don't know what you were thinking when that happened. Prob not thinking at all. So what are the cops saying? You do have his address right???
glittergirl
i have his address, phone #, drivers license number, the make, model and year of the vehicle and the name of the vehicle's owner. not much, but hopefully enough.

i express mailed the delayed report yesterday. i'm not really sure what happens now. if the cops dont contact me by next week, i'll call them to see what to do next. the cop on the phone the other day told me when i mail in the report, the cops will try to contact him (and do what?). if he fails to respond or whatever then i can sue.

Damn that's ty. Next time with you please call me......I never once steered you wrong in situations like this. And I don't give a if it's at 6am in the morning!!!;)

i just wasnt thinking clearly. it was 5:30am, i just worked 12 hours, i was exhausted and dumbfounded. if it would have happened at any other time of day, i might have put more thought into it. i was just stupid by that point, and didnt think to call anyone. i just wanted to crawl into my bed and cry. and that didnt happen til 2 days later.

Well they can go off Dave cause im not going to give in. Im sorry you got screwed on your three accidents. Insurance companies are such a rip off. They try and low ball you on the price then they take your car, fix it, and sell it again and make their ing money back.:whip: :whip: :whip:

When my car was called a total I got the money AND got to keep the car. Are they trying to give you money and take your car? They CANT DO THAT!

Im not sure what insurance company you have but it's standard for a ins company to take your car after they total it out.

I went through the other guys insurance because it was a rear end. They gave me the money and the car.The check was cut the same day I brought it in for inspection. I got more money than I actually paid for the car and I sold the car after that so I ended up with practically triple my money, and the insurance company was state farm and that happened about 2 years ago.

Are you positive it was a total loss? Because that's just unheard of. If it's a total loss you have to sign the title over to the ins company before they even cut you a check.

I am absolutely positive it was called a total. They gave me book value for the car which was almost 2,000, I only paid 1,000 for the car to begin with, they looked at my title but gave it back as is and let me drive away. I even got a receipt and a print out of all the details of the transaction. They decided to call the car a total because it was under a 1995 at the time and there was enough damage to it. The other party in the accident was not disputing that it was his fault. He admitted to everything. But like a said before I went through theyre company not my own so I dont know how that works but I know I sure got a sweet deal out of it.
