Southern Sun ... Tiesto's greatest remix? (pg. 2)

I think the vocals in that song are horrid. :nervous:

The all time best Tiesto remix is of Jan Johnston - Flesh 2002 by far. :D

But if your talking skill, it doesn't take a whole lot to remix Jan Johnston she rocks on her own.

I think that the best remix for skill is Skin - Faithfulness. He took an awful song and turned it into a fuggin brilliant remix. That's vision my friends.

I love hearing "southern sun" live - it is such a MASSIVE CHOON!  oh, and Tiesto remix (IMHO) is not the best one. I love what G&D done to it and there was another, "hard" remix of it - can't remember by who. That was just fecking sick. sick like a mofo. it was so sick, US Military actually considered using it as a weapon. :stongue:

Listening to it now - definitely has "Ferry" sound all over it. I guess Gouryella fell apart probably because Ferry got tired of doing all the work for Tiestor...

<<< just another little opportunity to chip away at one of the most overrated and overexposed characters in EDM history >>> :p

all i can hear is ferrys hat/shaker and his usual clap with with gated reverb.

and the reason why gouryella became just ferry was due to both tiesto and ferry having heavy schedules. Also in a recent interview for trance.ro he said he was hoping to get back with tiesto soon.

Ste
flesh is blatently his best remix by a long shot, his remixes of silence and southern sun were just the same melodies with his "own sound" to them.

i think people should realise the difference between a good remix and a remix of a good tune.

hell yeah! the original was a bag of crap, i listened to it thinking i would probably enjoy it as much as the remix (which is usually the case). but nope:(
he did a well good job on remixing that, such an awesome track drives a crowd nuts

Released version vocals are terrible, unreleased vocals are great.

Southern Sun isn't even one of his better remixes in my opinion.
