Sure it's overrated, but it's still very good.

As has been said, Southern Sun was Tiesto's last great remix. Or last good remix, for that matter.

It's my personal favorite, but Flesh and Destination Sunrise are generally recognized as better.

tilt's going home mix is MUCH better than the tiesto mix imo.

southern sun is a winner!

Southern Sun owns Silence.

I didn't even really like Silence that much, far too stop-start as someone said. Takes ages to build into it, you're basically waiting 5 minutes for a 30 second climax.

Southern Sun has a far better structure, I love the way the verses sound really minor and then it bursts into a major chorus - makes it really uplifting without being cheese.

As usual, you guys' opinions are WRONG.

Well how about you take the lyrics out of Silence?

You know there's more to trance than the mega-anthem bits. What I really like about Tiesto's mix of Silence is the way he uses every trick in the book while the vocals are playing- listen to the hi-hats, the samples and all the background making them flow so well. Oh, and the climax lasts a good three minutes, which is longer than in most trance records.

Silence RMX > Southern Sun RMX (which i don't even like!)

But even Silence isn't that great. :(

Silence is the most overblown formulaic piece of garbage i've ever heard in my life. I mean good god almighty. I like to cut myself when I hear it.
