Southern Sun is good, but it's a shame the vocals were altered prior to release. His best mixes are:
1. Aria - Willow (Magikal Remake)
2. Moontribe - Dance Of The Seventh Hill (Powerdub)
3. Jan Johnston - Flesh (Tiesto Remix)
4. Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine (Powermix)
5. Subtle By Design - Sirius (Tiesto Remix)
The Willow mix is head and shoulders above the rest though. Even eclipses Armin's more famous version of Dido. |

Oh yeah i gotta say that i totally prefer the orginal mix of southern sun. Though i would of preffered Tiestos if he hadnt of put that effect on the vocals.

pretty simple, when oakenfold first did the track the vocals had a line saying "because it's easier to drown" and something else that eluded to suicide, now tiesto did his remix pretty early and played it out awhile before the actual release. oakenfold was prompted by maverick (madonna's label and where oakey is signed to in the us) to change the lyrics because they feared that it wouldn't get airplay, so oakey did, so when it came for the commercial release of the track, the vocal was altered to it's current form, the reason why there is a recon of the tiesto mix with the unaltered vocal is because tiesto put his remix on isos 2(?) and then with some cutting & pasting a recon could be created |

oakey thought the original lyrics were too depressing so they were re-recorded for the official "in search of sunrise remix" release and the song itself was slightly tweaked. the version that tiesto plays in his sets is the unreleased mix. |
