No problem with Americam's from what I know, most trends over here come from across the pond anyway,so... should be k.
Unless your going to come over and ram your Americanness down our throats in which case you'll prob get told where you can shove the stars and stripes...as we are patriotic, but not sickly patriotic. |

ahaha.
I believe American's do not have the sense of Reality that we do...
Which is why they have so many guns, killings and a smaller value on human life than we do.
But then again this country is going downhill. |

...or should I lie and say that I'm a Canadian.:nervous: |
That would be more fun – just throw in a few aboots and you’ll fool us all. I always thought that it was a joke that Canadians always said ‘Aboot’ and ‘Ahe’...until I met one! Wow – the rumours were true. |

I live 'Aboot' 3.5hrs. from Toronto, and visit Canada fairly often, they all talk like that...It's even funnier when they use profanity, like 'Ahhhsshole'. |

Nope! I'm rather tired of all the flag waving and rhetoric, many people whine about policy but never take any steps to better the situation. They say "Don't you take away my foriegn oil guzzling SUV!"
Just want to see fireworks, a rugby match and this 'sick' game that you play, where you run around with a flaming powder keg on your backs, maybe toss some "Kabers" (sp?):toocool: |

Maybe its the novelty of a non-British accent... or maybe it's that we associate the american accent with rich/successful Brad Pitt types or something... who knows?
Never thought about the nasality thing, but it brings a smile to my face the way you talk at like 100mph and use those expressions that I only usually hear in the movies. |
Well...I'm not rich....do we really talk fast?
I like your profanity better, "tosser", "wanker" and "wally" makes me laugh every time.:haha:

Great phrase!!!!!
Personally the best thing an American could do to impress would be to offer an objective view on a great British debate.
Tea bag - Then milk - then water
OR
Tea bag - then water - then milk.
Either that or successfully dip a rich tea in his / her cup of tea without it dissolving after one dip. |

Especially when you try to give them to small children in the local park. |

You might find the Viz "Profanisaurus" useful as a reference guide if you plan to be using profanity in the UK on a regualar basis. (and also for eternal comedy value:stongue: ) Check the link:
