Exactly, before (Never look back, 2000, Memory, On the move, Cant keep me silent) they were rolling basslines with wikkidly uplifting melodies.

Then they went the way of utterly laughable vocals and cheesy stab melodies (God music, Can you dig it, Louder).

amazing producers and even better remixers

its a shame they had to make this so public, i dont understand why they would even make a news post like that.

well, goodluck to them, i'm happy I saw them live at least once.

Sad very sad announcement.....

Hard Techno Trance scene has lost something important. It is all about the money after all. I can’t blame them. Maybe a good marketing director could solve their problem. As far as I can understand they split up and head on different directions. Well good luck guys, hope to see you again soon on an awesome live set…..just for fun this time, not only for money.

Dumonde absolutely owned these boards in 2001, everyone loved everything about them!

Its a very sad announcement, but to be honest their productions and releases on their label had been quite aveerage over the last 2 years, its no reason they became discouraged or got the impression the scene isnt like it was 5 years ago.

I had the pleasure of seeing them once and talking to them afterwardsm they were always very appreciative of their support.

So i must conclude I am quite saddened by this, I have many great memories from this duo, but i spose it was inevitable that this would happen. :(

My top 5 Ode to Dumonde: :(
Dumonde - Never Look Back
Dumonde vs Lange - Memory
Ayumi Hamasaki - Trauma (Dumonde Dub)
Lange - Follow Me (Dumonde Remix)
Marc Aurel - The Sun (jam x & de leon's dumonde remix)

....so sad. :(

Whoops!

Forgot about Trauma, best thing they have ever done imo, shame it never got released on 12" :(
_Ocean_Drive_
Dumonde - Never Look Back

and I can't believe nobody has mentioned:

Rank 1 - Symsonic (Dumonde remix) :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:   :eyespop:

I remember the party in Toronto with Marc Aurel and Mobius etc, and these board were absolutely flooded!

No. It's because Avex are cunts.

And who cares? They're now, this is will only benefit trance if anything.

Imma gonna cry... it really is ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY...

yeah its about money, how are they supposed to live?
producing is a profession NOT A vocation...

But also... illegal downloading is one big reason that some dance producers have very bad times right now... not only DuMonde....

thats an excuse for ty producers, if something is worth the money ppl will buy it.

+1 on this...its sad to see trance producers quiting the scene.
i have good memories from their tracks...
good luck for them!

well..the main problem is the style changing cause since never look back we harly got something good from this duo (EXCEPT THE REMIX FOR RANK 1). if they had kept the 2001 style, they could have been rule the scene till now. but also i think the hard trance scene has rest a bit lately, and its more clubby and progressive now.

we will always have the good memories from them from the greatful years.
my favs: remixes for angelic, 2 x marc aurel , m.u.t.e , and the nevereverforget symsonic !
nwopper
Symsonic isn't that long ago...I believe end 2003 begin 2004....

I happen to like Kalt a lot. For me that's the best song 2004 ever brought forth.
Maybe at the first listen it seems meh...until you hear it in the clubs or at Sensation Black by Yoji Biomehanika!!! Awesome track!!

If it comes to DuMondesongs top 5 I'd go with this:

1. DuMonde - Kalt
2. JamX & DeLeon - Can u dig it (no, the vocals are no cheese)
3. No Faces - No time, no space
4. DuMonde vs. Lange - Memory
5. Jam X - Warriors

And for mixes:

1. Ayumi Hamasaki - Trauma
2. Jurgen Vries - The Theme
3. Balthazar - Insanity
4. ELT - Rescue Me
5. CRW - I feel love

I hope one of their 'selective sets' will be in Holland..... Germany is also okay...I'd go....:(
