Yeah, I'd like to think that if you released decent music, you'd make decent sales ;)

but then going by the crazy frog bollocks, if Dumonde had just stuck around for a few more years, they'd be millionaires :p
Ste
such a shame, although im not the "dumonde trancer" i used to be ;) i still respect them for giving me such good music and nights out in the past.
FrancoR
really bad news... :(

Very very sad news and I thought Dumonde were making some sort of come back after hearing them quite recently.

Ah well my fave Dumonde tracks have to be:

Dumonde - Follow Me
Anastacia - Come Fly With Me (Dumonde Remix)
Steve Morley - Reincarnations (Dumonde REmix)
nwopper
Joost: owned my ass!

I am amazed people still keep on thinking that they're doing it for the money. That that's the major thing they live for. That's so not true.

They're not stop to produce trance, they're only making lesser trance, because the profit they make of their sales isn't enough to support themselves and their families. That's why they're gonna focus more on making music for companies and such.

Maybe if they make lesser trance, maybe their records will have that 'quality' that you all think they lack these days.

And there's more to DuMonde than fricken 'Never Look Back'.....

I just realised why they named it that, as a future warning to to us to not look back at their old productions in the years to come because they will be vastly superior to what they will then be producing :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
Dj_GtR
dumonde were great.
i am listening now Rank 1-Symsonic (dumonde remix)...so emotional

what the people? i know they didnt diversfy (sp) but can u dig it, and never look back were great tunes.

and its easier for us to sit here slating their decision, but if u spent all week making one track, which would be ur major source of income, and some spotty twat leaked it onto a zero day ftp, and then share'd it with the whole world and then only 2 people bought the record, would u still carry on producing?

downloading downloading...what about in getting paid thousands for 2 hours playing at a club?? Yes I mean Dumonde themselves get paid so much for DJing and it's true!! Trust me world's best DJ's/producers selling records isn't the only source of income!!! We don't exactly try to justify them when your fav DJs that we oh so refer as gods travel to spin at your local club we are just happy to see them right! I don't feel sorry for any of them that complain about industry suffering because of illegal downloading when their booking fees are no less than 25000. Dumonde's days are gone, blame it on the money or blame it on the music and it's nothing but simply their popularity that faded away.

nwopper
DuMonde earning 25000 a night?!?!?! :stongue:
Their fee lies around 3000 euros or such for 1,5 hour and they have to split it in two.... They have approx. one booking a month.

Really a ridiculous statement, they aren't ing Tiesto or van Buuren!

At the moment, music is too expensive.
This is the real problem.
Those 0day ftp exist because most people isn't millionaire and can't spend 20€ on a CD
