Maybe because I didn't realize you went up behind the booth. Its cool though, had a blast anyway! Seems like you did too. :) Shook hands with Dave, though he probably doesn't know it (he looked busy, I didn't wanna take up more than a few seconds of his time). Heard some other people shouting "Way to go Dave!" when he would kick people off the stage.. no idea if they were TAs or other friends or what.
I wanted to say hi to Michelle but I didn't want to bug the people behind the booth (how do you, anyway? :p ) AH well perhaps next time when people are actually on the dance floor.
And the music.. Good god, the music. Phenomenal.
Of course I have one request. What was the song he opened with?? It sounded Coldharbour'ish and was sooo mellow and wonderful. :)

lol, honestly...I don't know half the peep who somehow know me, lol.
And I do think I remember meeting you for that second. :p
I need to carry around a little pocket camera and take pics with everyone who knows me, so that person can later be identified. |

okay now that I got to recouperate from last night I can review.
Me and my 2 friends got in about 11pm, right when Dave and Michelle were getting there and the place was still filling up. Gianni was on and playing a clean trance set but I was dying to hear Markus and about 12:15am Markus got on and blew the roof off. By that time the place was pretty full but not too full that you couldn't move and you were getting shoved from people trying to make it from one side of the club to the next. I personally thought the crowd size was great and the vibe from everyone was awesome. Toward the beginning of his set DaveT was able to get me upstage with Markus for a bit and got me a picture with him!! Thanks again DaveT! After that I was totally amped and Markus was laying down track after track and his mixing was perfect. I stayed up front for most of the night and Markus kept me moving. I did get to see of course DaveT and Michelle, and also meet Zharen and SweetCandyGirl at the very end.
Overall I had an absolutely awesome time and I cannot wait for Markus to come back to SF. As for tracks I'm not sure what he opened with but I was able to trainspot the following:
Markus Schulz - Electro Hairspray (OMFG THIS PWNS IN A CLUB SYSTEM)
Fluid In Motion - Soul Dimension
Pharmacy of Sound - Searching for Substance
Holden & Thompson - Nothing (93 Returning Remix) (Classic CHOON!)
Jagermaestro - Quarter Century (ONE OF MY FAVS)
Kalafut & Fygle - 3579 KM
Lens - Let The Light In
Hammer & Bennett - Language (CHOON AND A HALF as Markus would say ;) )
Progresia presents Sokaya - A Little Hazy Morning
Above & Beyond - No one on earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix) (Crowd erupted)
Peresma - Swing To Harmony (Gabriel & Dresden Remix) (I ERUPTED!)
Ozgur Can - Connected (Santiago Nino Remix)
Mike Foyle presents Statica - Space Guitar
Matthew Dekay vs The Proluctors - The Deep Show (LOVE THIS TUNE)
Sundawner - Sorrow
Markus Schulz feat Anita Kelsey - First Time
Niklas Harding pres. Arcane - Ice Beach
Max Graham feat. Jessica Jacobs - I Know You're Gone
Ave Mea - In The End
Hidden Logic presents Luminary - Wasting
Yilmaz Altanhan - Eighties
DJ Hooligan - Here You Now (Pillow One Remix)
Junior Jack - Thrill Me
BT vs Sasha - Remember Magnetic North (CHOON! Reminded me of all those late Sunday nights)
David West - Carrier (Tune of the night for me, awesome breaks)
Markus Schulz pres. Departure - Without You Near (2nd fav tune of the night)
Nalin & Kline - Open Your Eyes (Awesome Classic)
There were more but thats all I can remember for now. I will add trax if more come to mind. Awesome set Markus, can't wait to see u again! |

Very nice trainspotting. :)
I loved when Gianni played David Guetta - The World Is Mine. Heard it for the first time in Miami @ Space by Edgar V. Great track! |

Yea that was a bit of a bummer. I was lookin' for ya too but problem was I forgot what you looked like. I didn't exactly meet you while sober at Bubblegum Sci-Fi honestly. :stongue: But hey don't be scared to say a few words with the other TA's. That's what I was doing the whole night. I even asked a few of them if they had seen you yet, but alas to no avail. But I'm sure there'll be next time. BTW, did you get a chance to go behind the DJ booth? Cuz half the peeps who were back there were TA's.

Oh HELLZ YEA! Good pic Dave! Into the myspace collection that goes. :D |

| That night kicked sooooooo much ass. I had tons of fun with the many friends I got to hang with. The 3 1/2 hours he spun live were amazing, and the tracks he meshed together were real nice. I also got on stage and took plenty of pictures (as did one of my friends who took some with my camera herself). It was certainly one of the best nights I've ever had. |

I didn't go on stage because frankly I didn't know if I was allowed to, or if asking to would make me look like an idiot. :p I had just met Dave and it was for about 5 seconds, so I didn't want to push it.
If Dave is okay with taking people up on stage at certain events I'd love to join the TAs up there. I've already met Markus, talked to him a bit and shook his hand, so I wasn't in dire need to be be up there (I have great fun dancing on the dance floor anyway), but if Dave is cool with it at future events then I'm down! ;)
It probably depends a lot on the venue and the DJ though, which is totally understandable.
p.s. Nice pic, Z! |
