Armin van Buuren, Deep Dish and Tiesto in two days!!!

Wow!!!!!! Two months passed after my last party report from Armin's show in DC. Memorial weekend was one of the best experiences in my life.
I have to thank Armin, Ali "Dubfire", Sharam and Tijs for an unbelievable time. And of course my friends who came down to Las Vegas from different parts of the World.
You are the best!!!
In the beginning I was planning to spend a Memorial weekend in San Francisco and catch Armin's set there but as soon as I found out about Tiesto and Armin on the same weekend at Ice - I had no other options - I was heading to LAS VEGAS.
Saturday, May 28.
It was difficult for me to get together after a previous night party at Crobar, but my friends couldn't stop calling me trying to confirm arrivals and plans for the next couple of day. There were 3 people coming down from Los Angeles and 5 guys from Montreal, plus we were going to meet up with some other people in Vegas.
Got on the plane at 13.45 and landed at 16.15 local time (which is 19.15 NYC time. Ask me why I hate going to West coast?!). Temperature outside is 44 C (110 F) (this is another reason why I don't like Las Vegas) LOL. My guys from LA arrived at the same time with me and were waiting for me. Great timing! 4 of us decided not to stay at the hotel so we rented a 4 bedroom house with a pool 10 mins away from Ice. It was more expensive but it was so worth it. We all fell in love with this place right away.
We (my friends because I don't drink) had drinks by the pool and it was about the time to get ready to go to Ice. Honestly we all came out for Tiesto and only I was up for Armin and Tijs and was excited to see both of them. That night on the menu was Armin van Buuren!!!!
Got to the club at 23.00. None of us had tickets because we thought it wouldn't be packed before midnight. We were right but the price was $60 per tix. Well, of course we bought tix, no matter how ridiculous was the price.
We have decided not to dance too hard before Armin starts and save some energy for later but Faarsheed (www.faarsheed.com) who was an opener for Armin was just incredible. After about 15 mins everybody was asking each other if somebody knew the name of this guy. I can't remember anybody who played such a good warm up (maybe Jon O'Bir for PvD last NYE at Ikon in NYC). I went to find out his name and he gave me his CD (I'm on the plane right now listening to it and my ass keep moving in a chair hahahhah). He is a resident at Ice and he got a big potential. I was really impressed to find such a gem in desert.
Armin went on at 2.30 in the morning and club went crazy. I should have said that Ice is not a big venue, actually it's pretty small - only 900 people capacity in a main room and with an additional room it can fit about 1500 people. It was the only one thing that was surprising for me, plus a very weird combination of a lack of AC and Ice mechanism. When they made this machine work the very first time they scared out of me. It was absolutely terrible. People who went there probably understand what I'm talking about.
It was pretty packed and I saw people passing out so I decided to move to the dj booth. It was so nice to see Armin dancing and having a good time. He never managed to disappoint me. I can just repeat was I said last time "I liked every single track he spun". He was mellower in the beginning spinning soft tracks with some lyrics but then it was getting harder and dancier. I had to take my shoes off and dance barefoot but what a great time I had!!!! I love Armin, and his attitude and his attention to everything and everybody. And he always picks the song I like... it's miracle!
I was trying to find a track list from that night but nobody cared to post it. It was simply amazing!!!! Thank you Armin!
We left Ice at 7.15, tired and happy (and I was 2 kg less). Some of my friends have never seen Armin before and they were so impressed hahahha. Yeah, there is something about him that makes everybody go crazy. We def had an awesome time.
Sunday, May 29
We got in our house and everybody went to sleep. I couldn't. I had such a great time so I was still hyper and wanted some activity. I knew I had to get some sleep before going out to see Deep Dish and Tiesto but I couldn't force myself to lay down and relax. At 8.30 I was already horseracing in the ranch outside of Las Vegas. Day passed fast and because of the all e-mails that everybody got from a management of Ice kindly advising to appear before 23.00 we decided to listen to this advice.
But it turned out to be not that busy. It was a nice surprise but easy explainable - I paid for my presale ticket $80, at the door you could purchase it for $150. hahahaha. I thought I was about to die of laughing. That was the most ridiculous thing that I have seen in a long time. I thought $60 for Armin was a very bad deal but $150 for Deep Dish and Tiesto - it was a pure insanity.
But well, we got in with our presale tix at 22.00. Dean Coleman was spinning warm up for Deep Dish and Ali "Dubfire" didn't make us wait for him very long. He started at 12.30 and Sharam continued after 1.45. These guys rocked. Even though people were there for Tiesto - everybody had a blast. What do you think were the highlights of the night?! "Say Hello" and "Flashdance". Yeah. I thought I was going to break a booth in excitement of dancing and jumping.
Tijs came on at 3.30. It happened to me not to be present in a dj booth at that moment so when I arrived people were occupying and storming a booth from every side. I barely got in. OMG. I don't have to say how happy I was to see Tijs again. When he saw me a huge grin appeared on his face.
Honestly, I think it was the best Tiesto set I have seen. He wasn't too soft and wasn't banging too much either. It was as trancey as it can possibly be. And that's what I wanted to hear. I never saw Tijs being so happy. He was "crashing and smashing" everything inside of the booth. After 4.30 people started to leave and it was so nice to finally leave a booth and go to the main floor to dance. At least I could see Tijs' face and not only his back. He def had the time of his life and crowd was supporting him so well.
And.... He spun "Flight 643". OMG, I danced like it was the last day of my life. LOL. This is the only one track I wanted to hear and lost all hope that it will ever happen but it did happen.
Tiesto was supposed to play a 3 hour set but he kept going and going and his last track was at 8.15 in the morning. He went for almost 5 hours!!!!!!!!! It was soooo sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Monday, May 30
We left a club at 8.30. My guys went to sleep and i was by the pool, chilling. Since then i can't stop dancing......
