what if a girl doesn't want a steady relationship? what if she enjoys being single and being able to have fun? just because she's slept with X amount of guys doesn't mean that she has poor judgment. i mean as long as they are smart about it - using protection against pregnancy and STDs - i don't really see anything wrong. i guess basically i'm saying that girls and guys should be able to enjoy and explore sexuality, without being judged as a "slut" or a "bad person"
also i think the number of people you have been with should never be discussed with a partner. it leaves too many bad connotations and judgements in their head. all you need to know is that they are clean and healthy.
i don't want to start an argument, i just think it's an interesting topic - sex vs virginity.

I agree. Its the person to a large extent. I have met sexually active girls and thought they were the most innocent little dolls on earth and I felt that they were having sex for "right" reasons.
I dont understand 1 night stands, "hook ups" or any of that. Not to say i dont have an intellectual understanding of two people not wanting a relationship like you said...
lets put this in a different context. I want to drink all the time. If I woke up at 7am and decided to get ing hammered wouldnt people who looked at alcohol even as a recreational substance think thats a bit weird im ing drunk at 8am? Its the fact that my desires have overwhelmed common sense and to a degree morality.
Sex is becoming so common its becoming "invisible" to a lot of people as something that just "happens" these days.
I prefer a more thoughtful, critical look at things, and say "I wonder what it would be like if EVERYONE did this" its a quick way to test a theory.

In the end It comes down to the person, and whether or not they have proven themselves to make good decisions, judgments etc... and how critically they apply themselves to things.
Some girls have been in since they were able to think and its become invisible, and therefore uncriticized in their lives.
Others waited, and have made pretty good decisions since.
I have come close about 4 times to losing my virginity, but I realized that they just werent someone I wanted to attach to me any harder, and I didnt wish a long term relationship with them. Sex would have gotten the whole situation screwed up. So, despite a desire to have sex, I didnt. It was moral in the sense it was the right way to treat the person, and on a selfish level, I didnt feel like dealing with an attached human, they can be quite clingy.

Morality is a completely subjective thing...
For instance...
I think it is completely immoral of you to claim moral superiority due to your virginity...
And quite frankly, people were meant to , that's why they can... and if you come at me with some "But in the bible it says this..." or "My Parents taught me this..." bull, I urge you to open your eyes and start making decisions that are rational and logical through your own eyes, not through what you've been told by social authority figures...

Morality and religion are seperate friend. Dont put words in my mouth. Ethical and Moral actions can be labeled, judged, and measured. And your "premise" of "If you can you should" is one of the stupidest ing things Ive ever heard. Go duct tape a chop stick into the oven sensor and bake your head at 400 degrees for a few hours. You were meant to, thats why you can.
